I really don't know why something as fantastic as a festival causes people to act so poorly

Obviously some people are just assholes and there’s no excuse for that.

BUT I do have a certain degree of sympathy for people who are just overwhelmed with the experience of Glastonbury. It’s a lot to deal with, throw booze & pharmaceuticals into the mix as well and it puts you in a unique mental state.

For the vast majority of us that’s wonderful - it’s a magical break from reality. But sadly for some it can affect them really negatively and result in some messed up behaviour.

Again, no excuses for being an asshole, but I wouldn’t necessarily write off someone as a trash human being just ‘cos things got too much for them. Shades of grey innit. 🙂

Bumping into people on purpose at music festivals is poor behaviour.

Long journey, long queue in the heat followed by a long walk ladder with gear can make some people fraught to start with. Then add in 5 days of less than normal sleep, lots of walking, partying. It can get a bit of a slog at times and can see why people might squabble or have the odd moment. Not like what's been mentioned here though, that's just crappy people
