Taxi's at Boomtown - getting to and from Winchester

We have pre-booked an apartment in Winchester and noticed the shuttles aren't that late. Are there Taxi's waiting around later?

I don't think they are just hanging around, but if you walk to the Holiday Inn, which is about 15/20 mins away, they will be able to order one for you.

Double check the time you're getting there as there is a cut off point, gates aren't 24 hours. I thought the shuttle ran until gates shut.

We’ve just booked a hotel in Winchester. How much were the taxis and was it worth it?

winchester is a very small city without a lot of nightlife, and isn't the sort of place to have taxis hanging around.

What hotel have you booked? You'd probably be best booking the Holiday Inn which is on the roundabout near the festival if you want a hotel. It's more expensive, and about a 30/40 min walk to the hotel, but taxi's can be hard to get when leaving.
