Camping and parking in Bath and West Showground?

Hello all... It's starting to look like this might actually happen so need to give some thought to logistics - exciting!

My brother has booked a spot for his caravan at the Bath and West Showground this year. Usually my family camp next to him in a tent but this has always been in the east caravan fields on the festival site.

Please can you tell me if I am able to pitch a tent next to his caravan at Bath and West?

If so, do I need to pay for a car parking pass? Or a tent pitch?

Am I able to arrive separately to him?

If anyone has stayed there before and has any tips I'd be keen to know more. e.g. can you bring cycle trailers on the shuttle bus?

And, if the answer to all this is no, if anyone has a caravan pitch booked in the east fields and wouldn't mind a random family staying in a tent next to them please message me!

Can’t answer any of your questions sorry, but curious to know why would you not camp in the family friendly fields on site?

No worries. I'd just heard that they always fill up really quickly and can be a challenge to find a spot. And I'm worried we'd then end up in a sea of tents with people who'd rather not have two young kids there! If you have experience of getting a spot in the family fields I'd be keen to hear about that too.

They charge an additional £10.00 per night to pitch a tent next to a caravan on the same plot.
