A song close to my heart and one I can never get out of my heart after the choirboy sung it at a Hillsborough memorial not long after that terrible day. For that reason I stopped singing it a few years later. I vowed I would only sing it when we won big trophies (League or European Cup) Sadly lost a lad who I played footy with who was only 14 at the time didn't come home. Funny as a child myself it sort of bounced off me. Only when I got older I realised.

Anyway back on topic and yeah Gerry a Liverpool music legend. Gonna have a listen in work tomorrow to the back catalogue and see what is there past the obvious tracks. By all accounts a top fella as well.
