Hi

For personal reasons the person who is getting the camper van ticket won't be in the van on the Tuesday, For the last two festivals we have had that person with us, but nobody ever checked.

How strictly is this rule adhered too?

Many thanks

Travis

I personally wouldn't risk it as you may come across a steward who does check and turns you away.

sorry if this hijacks the thread ... it is posssible to secure a campervan ticket if you already have a ticket and the people who are intending to book one are trying in the resale as long as you travel in said caravan  ? I know there's a risk of them not securing a ticket and I presume the caravan ticket deposit would be lost

This is correct.

As long as the lead booker who booked the campervan ticket is in the car/van etc or in the convoy of cars/vans it is still possible.

I think I'm right in saying you can cancel the campervan ticket (even after the re-sale, sometime in May) but you would stand to lose £10.00 to cover the admin costs.

Hi Stone Circle we met up in 2016, I think you were going to work 2017? how did it go and have you got tickets for next year?

slightly off topic here but is my thread ?

Thank you what about my question?

I echo what @StoneCircle said above.

For me, since the linked campervan/general admission ticket was introduced, I didn't experience the rule being strictly enforced, or hear of anyone being turned away.

I do however remember last year the stewards checking both tickets.

It's up to you if you want to risk it.

Travis

I volunteered with Oxfam in 2016 and this year at Beautiful Days and Boardmasters. This was a back up plan to get priority status.

However I have been very fortunate in getting tickets for Glastonbury in both 2017 and for next year so won't be volunteering. To be honest I have found volunteering a struggle due to health issues and I think this year was my last.

In 2016 I won tickets in  @eFestivals competition, some friends got my CV pass and we convoyed in together.

In 2017 loads became available after the resale and I alerted many people both on here and in the Glssto Chat Softies Facebook group. I seriously don't think anyone went without.

Good luck!
