I love the fact people like you see a man like corbyn as `extreme left` that to me shows how far to the right this country has gone......hes actually centre left in a lot of what he says and does, he just appears extreme because the alternative weve gotten used to is so fucking in the other direction.

He's not centre left at all

to address what I say seriously you'd firstly have to be able to do serious, and not just mindless twat. :)

Tell me what on-message line is about Corbyn and brexit. You want me to be on message, but you won't say what the message is.

is that because you think people will buy into Corbyn without knowing what Corbyn stands for?

I'm sure some will, but they'll be the ones with half a brain cell like you.

mindless twat? you really dont like it when someone calls you on what you are dont you? everyone must agree with you or be labled mindless. my position is ive tried literally tens of times to debate seriously with you in the past and every single fucking time ive had you make stuff up, twist my words, literally put words into my mouth to make up an argument for yourself..... so I wont do it anymore Whats the point? im just going to laugh at you its so much quicker and so much less anger inducing!  You are the Nigel farage of efests polticial debate, easier just to nod your head at you and move on pal :)

I'd love to know where you think that happened. I suspect that's another of your delusions.

I've asked you what the approved brexit line is. no answer.

I've asked you to explain why you believe changing taxes doesn't change behaviour towards taxes. no answer.

You've said i'm unfairly criticising corbyn but refuse to say how and why.

Your position is that you're dead inside.

are you mad ???

extreme left would be the anarchist and communist groups whom are even further to the left then even corbyn and the left of labour. In terms of political parties you`d be talking parties like the `communist party of great britain` for example.

of course corbyn appears extreme to you because your a fucking tory, but really tell me how the fuck is simply wanting a fair society for all and for things to do be done in the public interest rather then that of big business and mps own self interest `extreme`

When common sense and basic morality is seen as `extreme` you know your countrys fucked up.

My position is that your not worth the time mate. Tried and failed to engage you in serious debate, unlike you I learn from mistakes I make.

Like to show me where?

Until you do - you know, facts - it's just another of the mindless delusions from the guy who will never do facts

Have you ever called the tories 'far right'? I bet you have.

you mean the party who endorses the newspaper that Corbyn likes to write for?

The paper where he called four seats less than Corbyn a 'disaster' and a 'failure'?

Common sense is discussion of the facts. Rejection? Check.
Basic morality includes respect. Rejection? Check.

A fair society is fine but if what he says he's going to deliver and actually what he will deliver then we wont know if he is true to his word .. IMO he couldn't possibly deliver what he says... just not economically possible and a majority of the voting population thought it wasn't possible either.

If we thought it was then he'd have everyones vote wouldn't he ?

well I wouldnt have thought throwing 1.5 billion pound bribe at a bunch of racists, homophobes and cultists just to cling onto power was economically possible but hey hey tories found that magic money tree their always harping on about!!

still broke when it comes to throwing money at things that benefit people though arent we? funny that!

that 1.5 billion pounds of taxpayers cash the tory party used to get the dup on side? that would have paid for 8 of labours pledges alone (under the cost of them specified in the tories own propaganda leaflets) so dont tell me whats impossable economically pal!

According to the fIFC just one of Labours pledges was 4 billion out .. it's fine doing costings as they kept banging on about but when those costings were totally ridiculous then that argument just falls out of bed

The figures I speak of come from the tory partys own example of how much labours policies would cost

anyway dont try and change the subject, where has this 1.5 bn come from? we have had years of the tory party telling us the country is broke, so where has the money come from?

I tell you what, remember when theresa may told that nurse she met during the election campaign to her face that there was `no more money` for any kind of public sector payrise what so ever.

I wonder how that same nurse felt waking up and seeing the tories had found 1.5 billion to throw at the dup?

This guy elliot gets it Look at the tory idiot squirm and try and change the subject again....try and justify that? you cant! it is unjustifiable!

People in NI, the poorest part of the UK, are not people, and are not deserving of their lives being uplifted?

I must have missed that part when i read Das Kapital and the Communist Manifesto, and i must be a poor socialist.

and it's paying for the DUP to do some of those pledges but because it's the DUP that makes it evil...?

Corbyn is going to back tories into a corner over this anyway, already plans for an amendment to the queens speech to guarantee a public sector pay rise including the emergency services who have been so invaluable as of late......tories vote that down at their peril! the man even in opposition can make a difference and thats how its done! you back these c**ts into a corner and you keep pushing till you get something out of them or they collapse. simple as.

from the same pot of "city deals" money that has already gifted Wales, Scotland and England, but was held back from NI because they want a bung now and then (like the one thay'd had just before those city deals) to be their next bung to hold up the peace process.

Awkward things these facts.

Labour, and the Left, have done pretty badly in the last 10+ years.  At some points it has looked like the country was going to settle into a comfortable (but only for the comfortable) right wing government for the forseeable future.  I didn't see any Labour politicians that were going to make a decent challenge to this.

Corbyn isn't the messiah.  He's a nice bloke, who I think genuinely cares for the vulnerable, the downtrodden.  That resonates with me.  I don't agree with everything he thinks, or can defend everything he's done, but we're all complex people - it would be weird to find someone who represents me exactly.

I went to see him on Saturday.  I cheered. I even joined in a "oh jeremy corbyn" song.  To a bystander I guess it might have looked like I worship him.   It was the pyramid stage at Glastonbury - earlier I had cheered and sang along to Craig David, I don't worship him either.

I don't think it was a brilliant speech, but it wasn't terrible.  But he was there, and getting across his message of being a proper alternative to the Tory style of government.  I liked that.  I cheered again.

I think Labour are currently doing a decent job. Elections aren't won in minds, they are won in hearts.  I think Labour are trying to do both - they had a costed manifesto  - sure you can disagree with it or criticise the costings but they did do it, and they have the populist edge in Corbyn at the moment too.   I think the press, like eFestivals, are much harder on him than they are on anyone else but he's ridden the worst of it out so far.

ETA:  I think the main point of writing all this, was to draw the conclusion that I think Corbyn appearing at Glastonbury overall will do him far more good than bad.  There are people who will never like him, or Labour, but I think appearances like this aren't for them.  I think it will reach younger people, and some Labour people who were unsure.
