Ticket delivery wrong - now on it's way to Belfast returns(!)

Hello people

There was a spelling error on our address - not on the one we registered, but on the delivery to our house from a friends house (the lead booker who got all three).

Turns out they've been rejected and are now en-route to the main UK Belfast returns office - which handles the whole of the UK's returned or bounced mail(!).

Obviously cutting it fine... phoned see and they are going to phone me back...

Anyone lost tickets before and had success? I've heard of a 'box office' on site - curious to hear if others have had similar experience?

Trying to remain zen about it all....(!)

so your friend had all the tickets, then posted them to you?

if that's the case, and going on past threads like this, See will say that they fulfilled their side and losing the ticket is your problem.

as there's no barcode on the ticket, they can't cancel it. if you're lucky, they'll re-issue the ticket for collection at the site, but I remember in the past they have been very awkward about that, and generally just refuse.

your best bet would be to hopefully be able to find exactly where the letter is, get RM to hold it, and drive direct to the depot and collect it yourself.

see this thread from last year with a similar problem to see what a ballache it all is:

legally see have done their part and sent the tickets to the correct address and the correct recipient has received them. What happened afterwards is unfortunately down you you and your friends, See will just say it's down to you to sort it out and find those tickets, it's no different to you losing them or the dog destroying them.

forget See and get on to the Royal Mail. Did they send them recorded delivery? Or put a return address on them?

    • Sam Fender, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter is a very bland set of headliners. Commercially successful and makes plenty of sense, but it wouldn't be very inspirising. That said I want a band like Green Day to headline so who am I to say what exciting is.
    • Potentially rogue shout here but could see Rebecca Black in the running for a mid-afternoon spot. I know most people still remember her for Friday but lately she’s been putting out a lot of fun pop bangers, think this could be a very fun booking!
    • FFS why when there are pull outs does it always include so many of the names I had as must sees!
    • This is a pretty petulant stance.   I oppose him headlining because I love coming to Slam Dunk and he would be a very big reason why I wouldn't come. That doesn't mean they can't choose to do so, they obviously can, I would just stop coming to that version of Slam Dunk.   Another name that I'll throw out there as name I'd love is Biffy Clyro.
    • There is possibly a weak link in the ticket buying system, no matter how clever the technical controls get. I just spent 20 minutes this morning hammering the ‘Buy Tickets’ button while the web page kept telling me there weren’t enough tickets remaining to meet my request. Eventually it changed its mind and let me buy two tickets. Most likely because of failed payments in the queue ahead of me. So - just like it did in the good old F5 days - pig-headed blind persistence can sometimes pay off.   BTW, the tickets were for the Whispering Bob Harris evening in the Albert Hall on 2nd December.
