He's sang it quite a bit at various places over the years I believe

I don't think it's goodbye, its a song he's sung before and it seems to be a favourite,  if anything a reference to the success of the festival and the ending of a great event it was a marked improvement on his version of Elvis Presley's "can't help falling in love" at Bruton Packhorse Fair a few weeks ago.

Yeah to be fair I saw him do Karaoke in Croissant Neuf (?) on Thursday eve and he sung My Way. Didn't really feel like it was him saying goodbye. I think he just enjoys singing the song and it's obviously quite meaningful to him.

He sang both My way and Can't help falling in love with you on Thursday night. Saw him at the Vodka Jellies karaoke. Guess these are his go to songs.

Yeah it was Thursday, he does it every year. I was backstage at the fat belly place next door to the croissant neuf tent with a friend working shortly after but missed Eavis, Shame

Nice yeah, was a total surprise for me because I was chilling in the Mandala Tent and wandered over to Croissant Neuf and all of a sudden Eavis came on. Also stumbled into Jarvis Cocker doing a DJ set in Stonebridge on the Saturday before Floating Points. Didn't even know he was on the line up.

He sang The Rolling Stones' "The Last Time" in 2014 at Avalon Cafe (and it wasn't)  so I don't think anything can be read into his song choices.
