New car stacking system

Lowther Calling

Recommended Posts

We stayed at Deer Lodge. Arrived on site around 4pm Friday - no queues whatsoever and once we were given wrist bands we drive straight down (trying to dodge folk right enough).

I was parked at the foot of a hill so glad I made the decision to move my car up to the flat bit on Saturday morning as I'd still be stuck I think!

Yeah, we came in on Thursday. We queued for well over an hour (not sure how much longer I fell asleep then). It was already pretty full when we arrived and we'd made the rookie error of bringing a brand new tent that we'd never put up before so that delayed us as well. We ended up missing the meet up drinks and the majority of Blossoms.

We arrived on Thursday at 3pm and were at Emperors gate at 4.30pm. Pretty shit but not as bad as most of you. By this time they were walking down the q asking folk to separate their tickets to speed things up a bit. The fella told me that it wasn`t as bad now as it had been as they had " just put more staff on ".......at 4.30pm !!!

I was at 4 festivals this year. 1 much bigger than KC, 1 much smaller and 1 roughly the same. KC is the only one where I had to get my wristband BEFORE I parked the car.

Next year, why not get everyone in off the road and parked then deal with the wristbands at the gate where they are already set up with the crash barrier thingys and multiple lanes to walk through.

I was in Emperors so not sure if this was the same as the other campsites ?

    • 1 - Mock Media - Rat Bastard 2 - Maquina - Body Transmission 3 - Mary in the Junkyard - Role Model Hermit   Honourable mentions to The Hu - Hun, Madonna - Confessions II, and Swapmeet - Mount Zero for also being solid.   Sadly, really didn't connect with the new Yard Act, a real shame as loved their last two albums and thought this one would be a shoe-in for AOTM, but felt it was a bit too generic..
    • Anyone had email yet?
    • See him doing either wilderness or the forest live shows more
    • I always fancied going to this one - it had my sort of lineup. Shame.
