I'm really up for DJ Hype. The fact that he is on in The Blues (that shanty town thing) and finishes 30 mins before Leftfield is nigh on perfect. Way Out West before that in The Glade. If my ageing legs hold up that is a pretty decent Saturday night!

That plan sounds very good indeed.

Unfortunately for me, such plans like that rarely work out

Ha - weirdly I manage to combine an impressive attention to detail with a near suicidal drinking schedule at festivals!

High contrast is on after london electricity on the spaceport stage wherever the hell that is

It's to the east of the Glade. London Elektricity played there last year at about 4pm, to a crowd of 25? Loads of space to dance!

His two sons were on MCing duties for him.

Edit: Terrible spelling.

Really looking forward to the Essential Mix. Andy C always delivers, and the Spor record is stunning.

I just wish they had a bit longer! 2 hours between Andy C, Spor and Friction doesn't give them much time each.

40 minutes (I've got a C at GSCE maths - don't mention it).

Ha. Thanks for that. It just seems like a big effort for Andy C to make to play for less than an hour, with no other sets during the weekend. I know he'll get loads of R1 exposure, but hardly seems worth it for someone his size.

I didn't use a calculator or anything (despite my C my mental arithmetic is very strong... not that I'm boasting).

In fairness it is Radio 1 (and also, who says he isn't playing again?!).

Very true, and time will tell I guess. I've just tweeted the lot of them to ask for the time splits anyway, so fingers crossed I get some sort of answer.

I'm gonna have to look for gaps that Andy C might be playing that night now! As I say, I can't imagine he'd go all that way for one set under an hour...

There's a free slot on Arcadia at about midnight on Sunday and I've def seen him on Arcadia before (at both Glasto and Bestival I think).

Ha! I think I've seen him at both as well! Although my memory of Bestival is pretty hazy...

Although the Essential Mix slot finishes at 3, the next act aren't on until 4. Perhaps they might just give them an hour each. I'd have thought that if he did another set it would be that Friday night.

EDIT: Just saw post above. Great news!

    • Seems the addition of the Sun Stage area is interesting. Suspect this is the area where the Stage 4 used to be pre-2024. Looks as though they want to try create some space to keep people in amongst the arena post-headliners, rather than just crowds all descending back on the campsite entertainment at once.
    • 2000 Trees - 3 Day Tickets on Concert for Carers to buy (pair £15) sure they will not have them for long, I cant check if they are still available as it now says I have already bought tickets.
    • times and technology has changed , a pyramid headliner is often about the show thats put on as much as the music like it or not and as much as many would like to you cant really blame an artist for trying to get the best out of the set both for the audience in the field and for the cameras also .... Beyonce was 15 years ago
