Camp Loner / Going Alone

3-4 should be alright but our fellow sir 'Thrillhouse' was looking to come at 11 which is not impossible but remember we want space for campfires and space to breathe!

 

Obviously we'll 100% do our best to make space for everyone though

 

I thought they were saying 11 in the morning not 11 at night.  Either way, I've just made arrangements to drop my dogs off three and a half hours earlier than originally planned so......if all goes well, I should now arrive closer to noon or 1pm on Thursday.

just a thought but when I've had to save place for people before, we've arranged the tents with secret gaps inbetween tents, and just put shit like bags there (weather permitting) that way people don't pitch in the gaps

 

Some well placed ropes should do the trick.

I know i probably should of mentioned this earlier but its only just came into my mind. Last year when we got to the festival it was about 4pm on Wednesday and orange was pretty rammed. we've set Orange E but if things fall through where else could we camp nee a plan b.

Lol, last year I went with two others and we arranged our tents in a triangle so that there was a space in the middle. Went to sleep on Wednesday night, woke up to a tent with a bunch of key addicts in the middle of our triangle.

The only way you can guarantee a space in the middle like that is to put a gazebo up or start a fire there!

Green yellow and orange always fill up pretty quickly. There will be more space in red and brown, but they're further away from the arena. Red is normally still half empty until thursday morning.

 

I don't think we need to worry so much if a few tents aren't right next to each other - as long as we have the main camp area nailed (with a couple of gazebos or something).

If i were to go off experience of getting a solid spot and somewhere that doesn't get rushed by everyone i go on the border of purple right next to orange we went there its still close to the arena and tesco. for example Purple M.

We'll just see what it's like when we rock up. It looks like most people on Wednesday are arriving within pretty much 30 mins of each other.

As much as I'd like to agree that our position may very well get filled quicker than what we can handle, I still believe there is no point in changing camps or area. The whole camp will get split up and people will get confused.

 

Festivals can be mind fucking at the best of times, lets make this easy on ourselves haha!

 

Just get to Orange E ASAP, hold as much space as humanly possible and if other people get pissed off at us; tough luck, shit happens and if it's the worst thing that happens in their lives then they are extremely lucky people!

 

Edit: On a side note has anyone got some of those beer jug chug things?

Hey, welcome to the group and yes you can join! A few of us have been exchanging numbers, I certainly have. Meeting in orange E and look out for a red and white flag.
