blimey that could be painful for a lot of folks coming down from the East/London etc.....no easy way round it so probably best to simply allow more time...and kick back when/if you come to a standstill....

As far as Stonehenge goes I think the reports are that the changes have helped for Westbound traffic as there is now no queue of traffic attempting to turn right off the single carriageway stretch of A303....that road to Stonehenge has been closed and all Stonehenge traffic now has to turn right at the new roundabout approx a mile further on.

I live locally to Stonehenge and I can say with some authority that the A303 going past it is abysmal. Not sure what reports you've read. Local residents are up in arms, there's been meetings with the MP, English Heritage and various people from the DoT to discuss what can be done. Whilst it was always a bad stretch before, it's now even worse.

If you're travelling in the early hours of the morning you will be ok, but any later - say from 7am - and you're likely to hit miles of traffic. If travelling later, I'd advise to take a detour and bypass it completely. Unfortunately, there's no detour that won't take you quite a few miles out of your way, but it may be preferable to sitting in almost stationary traffic for an hour. Or not. As for me, I'll be x-countrying it and picking up the A303 west from Wylye.

    • Its massively bonkers the cost now amd it means missing out on some gigs but buying into only promotes it. Im more annoyed at gigs that are cheap that I have to resist as I'm far too tired after work.
    • Yeah I mean first time seeing them sure, I was the same in 2010. Their arena tour got a bit boring, it was like just get on with it. Feeder being in a tent was silly really, there is a difference between being around 4th down on main stage snd then moving that crowd into a tent.

    • I think they'll be playing in a suspended platform, you can see it in their instagram, they've done that before in Lisbon   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZKSRZ1qIDe/   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DP6J4KIjMAG/
