Benicàssim 2014

You are going to benicassim, i hardly recommend you to sleep and get rest. In 14 years i haven't been in the aqua park or the go karting.

Come on, go and get high, aqua park!!!, you can find 100 in Spain, benicassim festival perhaps once in your life.

.p.s. it will be cheap, you are english you pay 10 BP for a box of cigarretes!

You hardly recommend me to sleep and get rest? I'm not interested in go karting really but the Aqua park or whatever it is could be a nice change up from the beach. While I'm sure the beach will be lovely I can see it being more like a beach in Thailand (waveless, a bit dirty, covered in sunburnt tourists and littered with thieves and gronks trying to flog you shit) than the pristine pictures you see in holiday brochures. I have been to water parks before and they can be pretty hit and miss so was just looking for some advice on what this particular one is like. Spending the daylight hours of 1 in 7 days really doesn't seem like it will impede on how high I will be getting or anything else. I just want to sit in a rubber ring and drift around the lazy lake, assuming they have one. To me festivals are more about taking it easy and enjoying the week rather than just getting fucked up for the whole thing. I will be plenty fucked up during the Libs.

I just don't want to pay 30 euros each for me and the girlfriend to go to a park if it's shit.

ps I'm not English and I don't smoke (cigarettes)

I went to the waterpark last year and it was really good. If you go after 3pm its much cheaper but obviously you get less time there. Can't remember how much it cost but was worth it. Rides are good and there are lots of sunbeds in actual shade so if you really do need a sleep then the fee to get in would be worth it haha.

Ta dude.

Of course, benicassim beach is not the best part of the festival, also those beaches are not also really good if you compare with others, not so far away as Thailand.

For me a festival is going to concerts and sleep, and i promise, i don't have time for both things.

p.s.Joints are cheaper in spain than cigarets in England, so you are lucky!

Yes there's one in marina d'or!!! Can't remember rightly where it is but there is definitely one and it's really good.

FIBs website is so hard to understand. I want to buy transfers between FIB and Castellon. Do I need the shuttle bus which is valid between 17th and 20th or the bus pass which is valid between the 14th and the 20th? Nowhere does it say at which hotels the pick up and drop of is and there is timetable as to when the buses run.

FIB is a shambles and its hard to believe anyone will be rebooking it for next year.

I think it's the shuttle you need. I bought mine from danesp, I used it last time and it was really good but that was from marina d'or.

Not rightly sure what the cheaper 'bus' one is

Does anyone know if FIB are going to provide tarpaulin covers over the camp site this year or are we going to roast like last year?

Bring your own. Avoid the massive sweaty tarp covered areas....Get an open bit with a bit of wind and string it up over tents or trees

URGENT!

I went last year, organised everything myself for me and 2 others but this year i've let someone else organise it. Turns out today he informs me he FORGOT to book the EUFEST transfers from Alicante to Benicassim (sold out on that day). Does anyone know any other way? we will be landing in Alicante on Wednesday 16th at about 11am. Many thanks, any links etc would be appreciated

They are both good shouts. If all else fails look at renting a car maybe? I looked and it's loads cheaper than getting the transfers but I don't have a credit card and couldn't get one in time.

Get the local bus to benidorm (3euro) stay there for a night (cheap as chips) then bus back to airport and book eufest coach for the day after. That's what I'm doing benidorm - benicassim - Barcelona !!

Currently sunning myself by the pool in Alicante. Benidorm for 3 days of getting into the party zone in the morning. Then if you see a 40 year old northern lad stumbling about with either a Madness, libs, Toots, Hacienda or similar t-shirt on feel free to say hi. That'll be me! Enjoy peeps!

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
