So you want people to work for less than minimum wage ? If there is a job to do they should be paid properly for it. The only exception I can think of is when someone is doing proper training for a skilled job. But to ask people to do a unskilled job for benefits is fucking awful. The government are already

making people work for benefits and its vile.

No because I will do everything in my power to never have to claim benefits. I will continue to work hard and get my head down. So that I can provide money to help those less privileged than myself. At the same time building a future for myself and my family where I can enjoy some of the finer things in life.

Let me make a suggestion. Why don't people actually do something for the benefits they receive. People who are physically able to do so. Sweeping roads, picking litter, cleaning graffiti, anything at all? There would be a lot better fealing towards the people who are claiming benefits. Why should people get away with do nothing at all.

Also why is your OPINION better than mine, why do you have to start bullying people on here. Saying things like you are talking out of your arse ect... Considering this is a forum you do get particularly nasty and defensive on here. You should consider the views of others rather than thinking everything you day or believe has to be right.

and if everyone says to you "you can't have a job here", what can you do but claim benefits?

The point is that your own 'success' is dependent on other people just as much as you. You can't create a job or paid work out of the sky: there has to be someone else willing to pay you.

Yes, some people might have less of a drive to work than you, but that's not solely their own doing just as your ability to work is not solely your own. Your success is a result of their failure no more or less than their failure is a result of your success.

We have this thing called society, which creates all of these inter-dependences, and if the outcomes are different for different people, that's the result of the inputs of society onto them being different than for you too.

because we abolished slavery about 200 years ago?

If you give people something meaningful and worthwhile to do, I'm sure they'll happily do it just as you do.

If you want them to wipe up your shit as you're suggesting with those jobs, then why would you be surprised if they say no? Do you think your purpose in life is to be some other self-important guy's shit-wiper?

Also why is your OPINION better than mine, why do you have to start bullying people on here. Saying things like you are talking out of your arse ect...

everyone has opinions but not all opinions are equal. Some opinions are based in facts while other opinions are based in myths.

Taxpayers like you rob you far more than the poor will ever do (about 80 times as much, on the govt's own figures). Do you go around denigrating every working person on the basis of those tax robbers as you do welfare claimants on the basis of a (proportionally) few fraudsters?

Considering this is a forum you do get particularly nasty and defensive on here. You should consider the views of others rather than thinking everything you day or believe has to be right.

When someone is posting as you are, than almost any reply to you will be right in comparison.

Paying people to work is...erm...giving them a job?

Forcing someone to work for their upkeep is slavery.

So what's being advocated? A government commitment to 100% employment? Good luck with that.

we used to have that, and we used to have fairer society alongside it too.

(and for Barry's sake ... it wasn't anything like North Korea).

Gideon recently suggested he'd be doing that ... but then someone asked him for more details, and it turned out to be bollocks words that meant just "more of the same as the last 30 years". ;)

Things won't change unless the Barry's of this world do. Good luck with that.

I have to say I don't have much sympathy for the family in the original story.

£45,000 on school fees is not a necessity, it is a luxury that they decide they want to spend, along with holidays, two cars and ordering a takeaway.

To say any kind of socialism leads to communism is utter rubbish though.

And while we're speaking about people taking benefits for f all, yes that is bad. Nowhere near as much as is lost in people (nearly all high earners, the £80k+ people upwards) evading paying tax.

The ones who can, won't.

So don't be surprised when anything remotely perceived as supporting the upper classes gets kicked to death on a forum Barry.

I've seen this article on another forum and the consensus seemed to be that it was pure clickbait. I beleive the husband/wife combo have done a few articles on their "depressing" state of affairs.

The article is designed for you to gaul at their perception of "average", giving you your moral outrage whilst giving a great sense of shaudenfreude at their predicament of a stupendouless stupid mortgage at that age (probably IO to boot)
