4Music replaced with MTV

I don't think MTV taking over from 4Music will change the festival one bit. They both play to the same audience who like the same music, and it's unlikely the sponsors will have much say in the bands booked. They were interested in sponsoring the stage/festival/getting TV rights based on the current audience so it will continue as is.

Maybe they dont have any actual say, but if they are sponsoring the festival with more money than 4Music did then maybe the acts booked could change...doubt it but maybe

According to that MTV link, it looks as if they won't be showing any coverage on the actual weekend. Instead it says they are having "two premiere weekends" at the end of August and early September.

What's the point of that?!
