Quiet Camping

Sorry of this is the 1 millionth camping thread...

Our 9th Glasto, all of which have been camped at Home Ground (when you could camp there) and then over the trees at Row Mead when you couldn't.

In more recent years spending less and less time at the Pyramid and more and more time up at Park and Greenfields. Wife is pregnant and just fancy somewhere quieter to camp.

Any suggestions? All are welcome.

After 13 years in one spot it's going to be weird but up for a change!

I camped in Dairy Ground in 2011 (midway between Dairy and Paines Ground on this year's Fine Guide map), that was fairly quiet compared to other places I've camped.

You could always try family camping. I've never camped there but I know people are asked to keep the noise down in that site.

Id recommend Dairy also, we camped there in 2010 and plan on going back again - mainly due to lack of interest at the Pyramid stage this year round.

Nice and quiet in the evening and not too far from the park etc.

Dairy grounds perfect for park, don't fill as quickly and have areas near fence which are fairly quite, but don't bank on total peace. Use the night hats eye shades and earplugs it helps

Cheers all - seems like Dairy Ground might be a goer - will be weird being on the other side of the site after all this time! Will discuss with the Mrs as my decision making facility was removed. :-)
