Redesign/better planning for western car park entry paths?

Do you think the western entry car park pathwayto Gate D will be

a. relocated

b. redesigned

c. metal/plastic trackways might be laid down this time

all in order to not get a repeat of the debacle that was everyone who didnt get in before the monsoon in 2011 and thus a combination of thousands of people, feet, wheels, heavy trolleys plus clay and adverse tight cambers equalled the insane queues that occured.

I was one of the lucky ones who got past that insanely tight, squidgy at the time but you could see what was going to happen not long after and it did awkward tight corner and in before the queues realy built up.

The 2011 entry route design was new compared to the previous few years because of the car park redesign. Can we expect another one?

We are trying to predict what moves/plans GFL may have but obviously wont know until we get there but we can all only hope that someone is looking into it and making some sensible decisions, logistics and design plans.

Also, does anyone know when the new maps are being released to get an idea to start planning?

Have to admit it did begin to frustrate me when I was queued in that heavy downpour at 9am and people took it upon themselves to decide not to queue and instead go through the trees and down the little trench bit and push it. Just what I love to see happening 20m ahead of me when I'm p1ss wet through.

Hopefully Eavis has stuck thicker bushes in...with sharp thorns to stop those ignorant fools

we were just through the pinch point as the rain started ! as we were walking towards pennards i remember the red dye from my cap gettin in my eyes praying for it to stop to put the tents up, just on cue when we stepped onto pennards it stopped for 35 mins. we had the 4 tents up in record time. jumped in and the monsoons started up. but even before then that pinch point had been unbearable.

The queue into gate d was an absolute farce in 2011. We ended up in one that snaked back on its self and met another queue going up the hill. It didn't move for about 3 hours! Must have been 12 when we got to pitch the tents and we were soaked. Arrived in carparks at about 6am!

I am trying to remember, was there a worse year for queues or late arrivals? Something to do with big crashes on the various motorways? 2010 perhaps? Have some recollection of people not getting onsite until close to midnight.

We were queuing for gate d 2011in the rain when it started to move some people pushed passed banged into my Gf she losses her balance because of the big bag on her bag fell in a giant puddle ripping her knee open nobody helped just pushed by so they could get closer to getting In it later gt infected was no fun for her trudging through the mid with wrecked knee and man is it far to the first aid at the farm
