Realistic enough and follows what they're playing at the moment with some changes

Fair enough. Like you, OR got me massively 'into' them, but Puzzle was the album that first got me listening to them, and there isn't one track on it that I dislike. My favourite Biffy album by far.

I've just realised that this may be why I bang on about Living Is A Problem and Folding Stars all the time.

I think the fact that all their albums are all clearly different, yet they're all still so clearly Biffy makes them such a great band, Blackened Sky and Opposites are 2 ends of the spectrum, yet they've both got that Biffy sound. I dunno they're just great :giveheart: lmao

I always feel a little different when I tell people my favourite Biffy album is Puzzle. I just think as a concept it is flawless and never ceases to affect me. I've spent countless nights deciphering it with friends trying to figure out what the songs reflect, but the views always change which is what makes it such a stunning album really.

I adore Blackened Sky but I do think they hadn't found their footing yet on it, it's got a couple of my favourite Biffy songs on it but you can't argue that it's a little samey. But equally incredible :)

I seem to neglect Only Revolutions a little, mainly as I feel the songs on the album hold nothing against how they are translated live. I also feel the songs lack the poetry of Simon's lyricism that is particularly evident in Puzzle. Still as I say they own when played live. That Golden Rule should never leave their set.

I feel bad about ranking their albums, as I don't really have one which is my least favourite. They're probably the only one of my favourite bands who I think don't have a bad album.

    • Muse will be about but the issue with Muse is that they’ll have the pick of doing IOW, BST, Glasto, R&L or big parks/stadiums.

    • Not sure what this means for 2027 but it looks like Holt Farm's website and email are both now inactive and unavailable.   It'll be a shame if they don't operate for 2027 as it was an excellent alternative to the other off-site offerings.   Fingers crossed they're just enjoying their downtime 🤞
    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)
