Thought the spiritualized album was good enough, but I think it sounds tired and lacking originality. It sounds like a self parody in parts. *sing about Jesus, drugs, add a load of strings etc

My favourite album was twilight sads new effort but I really enjoyed Bobby Womack, Chromatics (minus the lenght), Japandroids and Purity Ring.

my top album this year is a live album by Steven Wilson - 'Get all you Deserve', absolutely brilliant. I recommend EVERYONE give it a go, he is the frontman for Porcupine Tree if people know them. A bit of prog metal and jazz fusion never hurt anyone Other mentions for excellent albums go to 'Visions' by Grimes, 'Blunderbuss' by Jack White and 'The 2nd Law' by Muse to name but a few. Took me a few listens through to get into 'The 2nd Law' but now I am its all good
