Looks a bargain now when you look at the Stones ticket prices.

5 days of Glasto compared with 2 hours of a Stones show. Happily pay the extra £100 for that.

Someone probably made this point in an earlier post but ahh well.

Reading & Leeds tickets were £197.50 plus 8 quid booking fee, so they were £205.50 when the early bird tickets were on sale last month for next years festival. Presumably they'll go up a tenner or so when they come back on sale in March / April too but forget that. Yet, with Reading & Leeds if you want to turn up to the festival the day before on the Wednesday you have to pay an extra £15, so that puts the ticket price up to £220.50. Compared with Glastonbury, (I can't speak for Reading as I've never been but I can for Leeds), the amount of entertainment that is on offer is a ridiculous, there's 1 main stage and 1 big tent and 2 / 3 smaller tents. The late night entertainment is shit, so after the bands if you don't like what's on offer you're fucked. Glastonbury let you in the day before for free, there's at least 50 more stages / venues at Glastonbury compared to the 5/6 at Leeds and the late night entertainment although some of it is mainly edged towards dance music is A LOT more varied. Also you have the option to carry your own alcohol around the whole site rather than having to pay 4 quid for a point of piss inside the "arena".

Glastonbury is the best value for money when it comes to festivals, BY FAR. Yet it is also the best. How they keep the price down is beyond me if the like's of Festival Republic have to charge this much to make a profit / keep the festival running.
