Firstly, this was the 'V' with the least amount of 'wee' thrown I have ever seen - very refreshing if you excuse the pun. Secondly, thanks to the stewards for the constant supply of drinking water in the tent and at the main stage. THE STRANGLERS - superb, played No More Heroes, Peaches, 5 Minutes and Golden Brown - a classy start to Sunday. MADNESS, doing The Beastie Boys 'Fight For Your Right (To Party)' and being joined by Mr O.Murs for 'It Must Be Love'. HUMAN LEAGUE for the entire set. HAPPY MONDAYS for Step On- and I got one of the maracas that Bez threw into the crowd at the end !! KILLERS for starting with Somebody Told Me & Smile Like You Mean It - Wasn't overly impressed with The Enemy or The Feeling and didn't care about N.Minaj not turning up -but apart from that overall a very decent event all being considered.

Having got a warm one during the killers I have to disagree. Stone Roses and Noel were excellent. Thought Shed Seven were good and got the crowd going. Overall had a great time (apart from a smelly pissy t shirt). Why someone would think throwing piss in a carling cup is amusing is beyond me!

I had heard bad things about V but having gone for the day yesterday well I couldn't disagree more. Didn't see any probs at all, even had one young lad turn around and ask if I wanted to stand in front of him as he was taller than me!!

The Killers were the outstanding highlight for me, brilliant as usual with so many great sing a long tunes. the atmosphere and noise for Mr Brightside was brilliant.

Snow Patrol, The Enemy and Madness were all very good and The Stranglers started the day off well. Went to see Tinie Tempah who was the one disappointment (sure he played 1 song 3 times).

All in all great day, and even 4.20 for a drink didn't seem too bad to me.

Yesterday was better than Saturday IMO

Saturday I saw Angel, Cover Drive, Emeli Sande, Aiden Grimshaw, James Morrison, Labrinth, Rizzle Kicks, Gossip and a bit of Sheeran, Roses and Guetta (mostly Guetta)

Yesterday I saw Lawson, Stooshe, Rita Ora, Nathan Caton, Sean Lock, Conor Maynard, end of Madness, Tom Jones, Tinie Tempah, Pixie Lott, DJ Fresh and LMFAO (I caught one of the light Sticks!)

IMO my favs were Aiden, Gossip, James, Cover Drive, Stooshe, Rita, Lawson, Conor, Tinie and LMFAO

I know it seems a lot but all of them were absolutely phenomenal and I couldnt decide on a favourite (if I had to pick I would pick Cover Drive actually)

Saw 18 pretty much full sets in total, a couple of let downs such as the stone roses (poor compared to heaton park shows) and a few good suprises such as rizzle kicks, Not my thing musically but it was just lots of fun!

Saturday went like this: The Twang, Proclaimers, Inspiral Carpets, Reverend & the makers, The Charlatans, Keane,

Rizzle Kicks, Ben Howard, Noel Gallagher, The Stone Roses,

Sunday: Dodgy, The Rifles, Olly Murs, Madness, The Enemy, Frank Turner, Noah and the Whale, All The Young, The Killers

Ben Howard was great but its a shame there were a few nobheads who couldnt find anything else to watch who tried to ruin it for people who wanted to see him by heckling throughout the whole thing.

Also caught bits of Snow Patrol, Tulisa, Labrinth,

I was at Weston but thought musically they were 10x better at V and much improved. Less bum notes on guitars, more solid drumming and better sound quality. Don't even recall Ian Brown sounding that out of tune.
