Piccadilly Circus

According to last years 'Site Map' there was a Piccadilly Circus at Reading Festival but I heard nothing about it while I was there? I even asked volunteers if it even existed and they didn't have a clue. So does anyone know if it was actually there and was it busy even if it was?

(Piccadilly Circus is a stage that goes on late at night, I think)

Sadly I think that Piccadilly Circus is just the name that they've given to the area outside of the arena where's lots of food stalls, a bar and the "Action Aid" tent not a stage unfortunately,

They have a Piccadilly Circus at Leeds !

Its where a couple of busy lanes meet and they have an outdoor stage run by Beef Warehouse ( the dj looks like he should be in Faith No More ) that goes on till 6.00 am . Its brilliant one of the highlights of Leeds .

Total outdoor Indie Disco , with a bit of metal , glam etc thrown in - Strokes, RATM , Muse , Arctics, Klaxons with Def Leppard and Abba thrown in !!!

If you are mad enough you can camp within about 50 feet of it !

At Reading Piccadilly Circus is the area behind the main stage (ish) where the police station is and the old main pedestrian entrance used to come in to. Its no where near as busy as it used to be, it was basically the convergence for a lot of foot traffic and stage traffic but many site reworkings down the line the bottleneck has been worked out and removed.

As Ivan says at Leeds they also have a Piccadilly Circus, where they put on late night entertainment. If you head to the Reading one for a Piccadilly Party you’ll just be greeted by confused looking Oxfam stewards and police.
