Just started to look into tents. Obviously with a British festival i've been fussy in the past, opting for double skinned pop up tents for the weather. At Beni there isn't going to be rain so will a single skin tent still be fine? Will the tents heat inside be affected if the tents single or double?

Also any ideal colour?

Tempted to go with this, only 1.2kg ideal for the suitcase! http://www.outdoorworld.co.uk/gelert-monodome-2-tent

Or this... http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_910581_langId_-1_categoryId_236902#tab2

Thoughts? Cheers

We slept in our tent quite a lot, purely because there were massive ants outside where we were. But it wasn't that bad especially since we were in the shade, so a shitty little tent big enough for a couple of lilos and all your stuff is fine.

I'm pretty sure there will be an announcement on acts this week. I spoke to a woman on twitter who does the PR for the festival in Ireland and she confirmed it to me. Not sure what day though or whether it will be a headliner or just some more acts.

To be honest I have absolutely no concerns about the line-up.

Every year there are shocks, yelps of disappointment, hoorays of happiness etc etc

but the line-up is pretty consistent every year, and realistically the music makes up only a small part of why this festival is so god,

im only eager for names to give us something to chat about down the pub!!!

who ever is announced it will be an amazing week or so yet again!!! bring it on

Saw the strypes on saturday night in liverpool, no words can describe how good they were, probably the best ive ever seen. seems strange saying that about a band made up of 15/16 year olds, but they blew me away.

I think the 'guesswork' seems to suggest Kasabian, or maybe a more legend type act, though I think most of us are purely finger in the air at who may be likely, who isnt already playing at rival festivals and has a free slot over the time the festival is on.

    • After the sad news of William Orbits passing -   the production on this album is magnificent, especially as it was a risky departure sound wise from Blurs previous album   To me - my favourite Blur album - Strange News, Death Of A Party & Essex Dogs are under appreciated gems
    • RIP William Orbit.... https://youtu.be/eVdR2RfXGUw?is=TgwCLV2USTDSTVru
    • While i whole heartedly agree with both these statements on a personal preference level -     ive come to reluctantly accept that bland is always popular and il normally just show myself to the other stages where the better times are to be had during the Pyramid headliner slots.
    • Sun's out today. Can feel the hills calling. Time to ramp up the energy levels. I've been easing my way in gently the last 2 weeks with the likes of Hayley and Lael Neale and Cut Worms and Maria Somerville etc. Time to unleash some Shame, Mogwai, Place to Bury Strangers and especially Wednesday and Mannequin Pussy.  Also, just back from a brilliant night in Belfast at the Fleadh Ceoil so anything with a fiddle or a whistle or a squeeze box is drawing me like the Sirens. Madra Salach with the volume up. COME ON!!
