Had to laugh at someone post on the KC facebook page about potential announcements......"The jam? Now there's a band who are being pretty secretive about stuff"

Some people just dont know how ridiculous their suggestions are lol

i took the bairn to the happy slap a few times last year as she wanted to see the acts with fire, the tent was in the same field as the kaylied, just opposite. cant say i saw many acts there apart from fire breathers and a space hopper race !

I hope your not gonna be a jinx mind Jacko ! Id prefer warm and sunny intervals, I remember Glastonbury 2 years ago where it was roasting, I was worn out by early evening every day and there was nowhere to cool down. We brits love to moan regardless !

Thinking the Bibelots might be playing...just noticed they're down as 'friends' of Kendal on FB. I was banging on about them earlier in the year and one of the organisers of Kendal said he'd give them a listen so looking good...well worth catching if they're on

In 2 days time Kendal will officially be 'next month'...

Hope the extra capacity isn't going to have too big an impact...as long as the site has been made bigger to accomodate I'm sure it will be fantastic still.

The licence is for an increase in capacity from 14,999 to 19,999 but will be phased over the next 3 years.

The numbers quoted also include workers and stewards/security, not just punters (like glasto has a licence for 185,000, only 130,000 are punters)

Wheres that from? Not seen anything on the KC website or KC Facebook page....they're usually very good at keeping everyone informed of announcements - are you mistaking it for last Thursdays announcement?

to save you looking for the announcement, here it is -

"We’re very excited to introduce a new dance stage for 2012, the Kopperberg Kube. The Kube will feature a stellar line up of artists and cream of the regional crop. Plus we will be inviting Dj's from other arenas to come along and feature on this intimate new stage with many playing sets you wouldn't normally expect. So throw in dancing, cider, plenty of sunshine, party music, hip-hop, house, disco and a surprise appearance or two, hip-hop karaoke and a disco battle and you've got yourself the Kube!

THE KOPPERBERG KUBE: DJ YODA (EXTRA SET) / A SKILLZ (EXTRA SET) / GHOSTPOET (EXTRA SET) / AIM (EXTRA SET) / D/R/U/G/S (EXTRA SET) / OLUGBENGA (METRONOMY DJ EXTRA SET) / LINTON BROWN / CUTLOOSE DJS / EL DIABLOS SOCIAL CLUB / SOANSO / BOOGIZM DJ’S / KARL YATES / OCEIUS / GENRE SLUTS / HOWARD SESSIONS / KI CRIEGHTON / FALLBACK PRODUCTIONS / KIERON STAFFORD

    • Absolutely love her record, System. Definitely an album that rewards a bit of commitment.   She's right on my must-see list. Hoping she's in the Walled Garden, as I think her sound might be a bit muddy if she's early-ish in Far Out.   Ben
    • Same here, I kept trying to go on A View From My Seat to see if each block was worth it. So vague!
    • Ok, I’ve had time to process the experience now, so here is my review.   The good Barcelona - what a beautiful place! What lovely people! The city was like another headliner. Stayed in El Poblenou, and the bars, cafes and restaurants were perfect. Avalanches - Absolutely spectacular, euphoric set. Fantastic stage. Possibly enhanced by substances that I timed right, for a change. Added bonus that I don’t really remember the queue. The Cure - I’ve been a fan for 34 years, and never got round to seeing them, so this was a dream come true. The XX - The sound was exceptional. The lights and setlist perfect, giving each member their moment. Was really loud where I was standing (between the front and the sound desk), but i didn’t notice any chatters - even during the quieter moments. Also loved Men I Trust, .bd. , Big Thief, NewDad and Gorillaz. The food within Parc Del Fòrum was also a lot better than I was expecting.   The bad People talking non-stop throughout some of the sets, and shouting to be heard over the music. I had to move 3 times during Wet Leg just to be able to hear the band over the crowd. It’s probably an age thing, but I just don’t understand it. You’ve paid how much to watch these acts, and now you’re standing with your back to the stage, missing the music and ruining the experience for everyone else? Odd behaviour.   The weather apocalypse on Thursday. I genuinely thought I would be able to tough it out. I couldn’t. Left after Geese. The lack of communication from Primavera didn’t help.   Whilst it was lovely to be by the sea, and the sunsets were very pretty, the site is a bit…concrete-y, isn’t it? I kind of longed for some grass and trees. Often found ourselves standing on the steps by the Adidas yard by some bamboo. This was probably a subconscious need for some nature. The fact that some of the nature included cockroaches did not negatively affect the experience.   My daughter, for running away when she saw the drug dogs in the queue on Thursday, meaning that I lost her for the whole evening. She hid her stash under a bench, and it miraculously survived the storms.   Also, can someone explain the point in having a wristband, when you still have to show your ticket every time you enter and leave the site?   Finally, I would like to nominate myself as one of the bad things about this year’s Primabera. I should have done Primavera a lot better. It was my first one, so I’m still learning, but I think I left too early on the Thursday. Left after the Cure on Friday, so I would be full of energy on Saturday, and then barely made it to the end of Gorillaz anyway, meaning I missed Overmono, Skrillex, Skullcrusher, Kneecap, and a few more I would have liked to see.   All in all Amazing lineup. Decent food options. Cupra and Cupra Pulse stages were very impressive. Weather was perfect for 3 out of the 4 days i attended.   It was always likely to be a ‘one and done’ for me, but we had a blast, even if I am starting to get too old for all this.
