Can't wait until the summer. This will be my 3rd Sziget in a row. Just missed out on Stone Roses tickets for Heaton Park, but seeing them at Sziget will be awesome! Thought that both the city pass and festival cash card they introduced last year were great additions too. Though did miss the old style open air Meduza stage :(

Here is a mad idea - my mate wants to drive from Southampton! About a 2000 mile round trip, whilst stopping off a few times! I think if we pulled it off it would be incredible, but just wondering if anyone has done it before??

quick question for the sziget veterans... going to my first one this year but does anyone know if you can book a ready pitched tent there as you can do at most uk festivals? going to fly over to Budapest and really don't want to carry a tent on the plane or buy one over there to just leave once we are done.

cheers

Last few times when we've stayed in Pest found the the to easiest ways back from the island are either the Radio 1 boat which will drop you off on either side of the river in the city centre, or taxi...there is a very well organised taxi rank just as you exit the festival and the price is very good, plus they will tell you the fare beforehand (BEWARE of unoffical taxis of site though as these will rip you off big time)

    • Let's hope you're right - having secret set by Olivia Rodrigo would be huge. It might even overshadow the Thursday trainwreck.   We'll see in a couple of hours.
    • Yet again we’re missing the WH Sunday reggae slot
    • Occident has got larger over the years and there's relatively little overlap with mbv and OR fans that I think it would work fine as it would divide the crowd so effectively.   They don't even need to give the biggest stage from an optics perspective either, this would be billed as a secret short set and used to promote her new album.
    • Really like this! Few artists a bit low I reckon like the Reytons, Yard Act, the Royston Club and Florence Road but I’d absolutely take this!
    • Yeah Olivia Rodrigo walked right past me when leaving the crowd during The Cure set.   I had to escape where I was in the crowd so was just chilling in the bottom left corner when she walked through with a couple of others.    Thought it was her or someone who looked incredibly like her but no-one else seemed to pick up on it, either not bothered or just too engrossed in their own conversations to not notice..
