Ticket Touts

Just being nosey I found ticket agencies on ebay claiming to have 42 adult tickets and 3 youth tickets for sale at a cost of £211 for the adult tickets. How do they manage to do this??

Its a good profit, but why would someone buy up this many tickets for an event that only sold out last year just before it happened?

I hope that EoTR don't send out the tickets till the last min now, or the tickets had your name on, or you had to show ID to get in or something???

Not necessarily. Anyway there are two adverts with the same mobile phone no on (60 tickets in total), it shouldn't be too difficult for EoTR to work out who has these tickets (they didn't buy one or two at a time). Its a condition of sale that the tickets can only be resold thru their ethical exchange. So they have a right to cancel the original order. Hey Presto There would be enough tickets for all those people posting tickets wanted threads, and Mr Ticket tout wouldn't be making three grand!

Don't remember anything other than tickets being supplied, apart from that free CD we got a few years ago. That was nice!

But yeah, we MUST be due some answers soon. Stage times and locations. It's just over 5 weeks away!

Have they said anything about the arrangements for redelivery in the event that they are sent back? It's a real possibility, though we're most likely to have to delay leaving on Friday morning until postie's been.

Nowt was said, but on the website there's an email address for someone called Sophie for ticket enquiries, so if it ain't here by Fri am I'm going to send her an email.....

I'm sure they've come across this situation lots of times, and probably just re-send them after a week or so, or maybe email to find a good time to send them.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
