Getting in without a ticket

exactly, out of everyone that goes some will genuinelly lose their ticket..this no re-issue is bs - as you say laptops connected to the database, and some photo ID or proof should be enough to get a new ticket issued or something, as people do lose things

It turned out that some how the woman had two reg numbers and when we got their tickets in the re-sale she had given me the wrong two numbers.

Until the suprvisor stepped in the solution offered was for the woman to come in and the man wait until Monday for her to use th coach back or find his own way home.

I think that is fair enough, they are only doing their job & what they are told to do. It wasn't their fault but your friend. I was well prepared for the resales, no need to make a mistake like that (or have two reg numbers unless you forgot you saved it from previous year) even in a panic.

Glad they got in as it obviously was a mistake, but I guess that's is what any supervisor is there for.

Met a bloke who's wristband had come off during the fest but was too scared to go & get another one in case he got kicked out.

Not as easy as it might seem.

There's a search system. Might not be applied to every vehicle. It's a bit like customs. We were searched for hidden people, then a system applied to show we had been searched and how many legit people had been found.

I reckon it will have caught a few.

    • Kronenberg in a tent as well IIRC but Brooklyn Pilsner was easier to get without queueing and was everywhere across the festival.
    • I think they'll end up doing something due to pressure and bad PR. Maybe they do a discount code for next year or bar credit or something along those lines.    I agree though. I acknowledge that the lineup is huge but surely you can't cancel 33% of the headliners and not reimburse in some way. Their insurance will probably cover their fees for MA, Doja, Bad Gyal and Mac DeMarco due to force majeure.
    • Looks like nothing for weekend ticket holders. You'd expect a goodwill gesture.
    • Enough has been covered about how much of a sh*t show that was, so I'll just say, Massive Attack and it's relationship with this festival (and potentially me) are f**king cursed.    They were announced in 2020 when I first got excited about seeing them. They were subsequently on the poster for 21, 22 and now 26. This time I was in actually in the crowd close to the stage waiting for them twice haha. I give up!
    • Thanks for the suggestion, had never heard of them yesterday and have picked up a ticket today.
