Queue to get out

When we walked through e1 at about 6.30 this morning it was very churned up - one man was stuck & asked the lone steward how he could get a tow out - he was told there was no way to call one & he'd just have to hope one turned up!

We drove out from e5 through e6(?) - e9 etc & was ok but it was early - hope you get out soon!

We finished loading the car at about 9:30 this morning, was out on the main roads by about 9:45.... not a single queue at all. Having said that right at the start I got told to turn round and go the other way by 2 different people at each end of East 5 - had to explain to the second one that I'd just been sent from the direction she was pointing me before she'd let me through :P

When you do get out of the car parks you might want to avoid taking the road from Wells to Bristol. I've just come back from Bristol on the bus and there is a very slow moving traffic tailback from Bristol to Farrington Gurney.

It almost looks like they are letting traffic out in batches as it was clear from Farrington Gurney into Wells then chocker again from Wells to Coxley.

Traffic in Bristol in its usual heavy self so it may be that each batch leaving the festival is joining the back of the queue to get into Bristol.

We were the lone car leaving west carparks at 10.30pm last night. Was it busy later on? One steward told us the roads out of the carparks would be like the M25 by 11,30pm. Did anyone experience this?

Had been asking stewards all weekend which way we would be directed out at the end of the festival, but they had no info. We had needed stewards to push us into the carpark through the mud and was concerned in advance about possibly getting stuck on our way out In the end on Sunday evening they said I could choose to go out the way I'd come, or round a sharp turn (which would have been impossible in the mud 24 hrs earlier)and down a good track. We opted for the sharp turn , and breezed straight out.

Sorry if you're still stuck. If its any consolation I'm still floating on planet Tired after a long drive home, unable to do anything very constructive at all.

East 8 for me - same sort of time at car. One hour to road.

Problem for you I think (OP) is that you had to pass through all the other carparks on the way out - and every moment you were in the back of the line, new people were coming into the sides in the carparks ahead.

I for example probably got into the line for the exit ahead of you as my carpark was further down the line.

Did wonder how it was going to work for those in East 1 - guess I've got the answer - not very well!

Not that this helps of course!

Hope you're back now at least.

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
