.....which alternative are you considering or are you saving your money?

Im looking at maybe an international festival....rock wertcher or benicassim are possibilities for me (cheap flights to the latter if you fly into valencia).

I'm doing Roskilde in Denmark next year I think.

Been once before and had a great time. Although (as ever) it isn't a patch on Glastonbury, it's still a great international festival. Great atmosphere & crowds. It has vaguely hippy/charity feel similar to Glasto (although admittedly some of the set up is closer to the other UK festivals, most significantly with a separation between music & camping).

However, it's biggest plus point is a ridiculously diverse line-up. Have a look at any given year and you'll see headline acts from rock, metal, pop, hip hop, the whole lot. When I went (2005) the lineup included: Arctic Monkeys, Bob Dylan, Guns N Roses, Kanye West, Primal Scream, Sigur Ros, Scissor Sisters, Tool, Roger Waters, plus so much more. Undoubtedly the strongest festival line-up I've personally been to.

T in the park next year, would be my first festival. Then Glastonbury in 2013. I'll buy tickets to T and I'm not a fan of the line up I'll sell mine.

I find it hard to deviate away from Glastonbury. I may consult with some friends about doing something though
