Left at 1am this morning. After a few sleep stops we got back to York at about 10.

Highlights: Primal Scream, Chemical Brothers and Elbow.

Lows: Mud on Wed/Thu meaning the two best days for wandering were hard work! Oh, and Laura Marling. Love folk, just don't get her appeal. She's alright and no mistake, but really don't get why she's so popular.

All in all, a good week.

Got back around 3.30am after leaving east campervan fields not that long after headliners.

Highlights:

Elbow - perfect as ever

U2 - loved the hits, shame about Bono

The Go! Team

Two Door Cinema Club

Beyonce - not my cup of tea, but was very impressed!

Lowlights:

Mud

Crowds - just too many people in main areas at times

Missing Pulp (although i'm off to wireless to see them next week :D )

Missing Gruff Rhys - my other half said his set was amazing

Wasn't as impressed by the Arcadia show this year

Roll on 2013....

got back about 10mins ago

highlights Chemical Brothers / Orbital / Wu Tang Clan

Orbital was amazing, as were the chems - went to see both on my own-others in the group I weas with wanted to go to shangri-la earlier so skipped chems, and then left arcadia to wander round shangri-la before orbital came on..sachoolboys

i was susprised orbital wasn't more packed than it was - although i did find the queue system strange,m we queued for ages at the gate thingsheld there..barely movig suddenly like everyones let through, we walk through along the side of the fence where it says if youre here its 60mins queue etc - and just walking right through no queues or congestion

anyone else notice that?!

Left site 10.15pm Sunday-home in Sheffield by 3.15am. It was getting light!

Didn't think I was tired but needed 1 filter coffee, double espresso, one can of Red Bull and a short nap at a service station to get us home in one piece.

Agree about the overcrowding, mentioned it on another thread, particularly relating to the Park.

Had no trouble getting in (apart from being pushed through the mud) or out but I was lucky to have travelled at just the right times, and got into W38, very near gate D.

Highlights-Billy Bragg's Leftfield tent, Primal Scream, Johnny Woo on the Sensation stage, West Holts vibe and food, lovely tent neighbours

Lowlights- mud prevented us from getting around as much as we would have liked, not being able access some areas because of overcrowding.

Glad to have made it back to Glasto.

Just through the door! My highlights were:

Morrissey

U2

Pulp

Stornoway

Coldplay (bloody fantastic - really didn't see it coming!)

Kool and the Gang

BB King

my biggest disappointments:

Missing Elbow (but only because of Pulp)

Seeing the beginning of Beyonce (but only because I had to make up with my girlfriend who I sent off to see Paolo Nutini on her own despite promising to go with her (I was seeing Pulp in The Park, FFS!!!) - fortunately even my Glee loving girlfriend could see that miming and dancing to the choruses of your "big" hits is poor, even by the X-factor standards on which Beyonce should be judged. "Oooooh, but she had loads of fireworks" I hear you say - then go to London for New Year's Eve! It didn't work and the crowd was full of horrid people - at least I'm speaking from experience not blind assumption as I thought I would be).

Highlights:

Kool & The Gang. (So many people having a boogie. Was awsome.

Aloe Blacc

U2

Coldplay

John Grant (Never heard of him, but saw him on Park stage on Sun. Was really good)

Jimmy Eat World.

Lowlights:

Mud

Paul Simon. (I didn't see him, or want to se him but it took me easily over an hour and a half to walk around the outside of the pyramid field as people decided to set their chairs up in the middle of the path and then get annoyed when people are trying to get past. f**king idiots.

Missing QOTSA. Would have loved to see them, but meant to be seeing them tomorrow, but might have to miss it.

Back to sunny Shropshire at 6am after leaving the site at 3am so not a bad trip back at all

Had a nice sleep and just sat thinking what a weekend it was - just so many good acts seen over the weekend. Think its the diversity that makes its so special where else could I have seen BB King, Elbow, Wu Tang Clan, Carabu, Radiohead, Kool and The Gang, Warpaint and the Womb

Mud was obviously a down side but strangely as I didn't

fancy walking round as much saw some bands I wouldn't have chosen to see who were great - especially Raghu Dixit on Leftfield on Sunday

As Guy Garvey said a couple of days at Glasto, despite it's faults, repairs the spirit

First ever Glastonbury an I can now understand why people get hooked! Arrived home in Milton Keynes 3.30am

Highs

Devotchka at the Avalon stage, amazing musicians, fantastic atmosphere the whole tent was buzzing and the band looked like they really enjoyed it.

Coldplay are a brilliant festival band. They really know how to work an audience

Dan le sac vs Scupious pip at the oxylers tent. He was very intense and like nothing else at the weekend.

The Food!!! Wow I had something different every night! Amazing curries, French food, paella... Mmmmmmm

No real lows other than the rain at the start of the festival. Can't wait for 2013

Got back to Bristol at about 4.30 this morning: left the Park at 2, walked to the car with our stuff and got straight out...only to be forced to turn left and go home the long way down the M5  annoying!

Highlights:

Patrick Wolf jumping into the crowd next to me and singing to me! I turned into a total fangirl.

Pulp, especially as someone gave me their spot on one of the benches for the final 3 songs so i saw the crowd going mental for Common People. I've waited 11 years to see them at a festival, having been taken ill at Reading 2000 and missing them, and it was worth the wait!

Walking along the top of the site from stone circle to the Park on Thursday night

Lowlights:

the mud. My god it was awful wasn't it?

My knee being dodgy. But the physio at the medical centre was lovely and she strapped it up.

Not being able to drink on 3 days due to TMI reasons.

Just pulling into Dublin port now on the ferry. Had a great time apart from the 9 hours of puking (not drink or drug related....seriously) from 3am to 11am on Sunday. A world of pain. Still feel a bit rough. Sundays heat mixed with chronic dehydration meant I couldn't do too much.

Could've been worse. Mate of mine got home at 9am today and had to go to work!!

Highs:

U2: I loved the setlist, if they'd finished on 40 it would've been almost perfect.

Coldplay: I love Coldplay and they were amazing. Wanted the see the Chems though but ah well.

Elbow: Also really good, the mexican wave was amazing.

Shangri La: I didn't make it there last year but my God was it good.

The unexpected moments which sidetrack you from wherever you were going:I.e the large twister game, the small performers at the side of tracks, different people.

Lows:

Missing Pulp: For Elbow mind you but I love Pulp and seeing people here raving about how god they were just adds to the disappointment.

Crowds: Just... aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!

The mud wasn't that bad I didn't think...
