No, having seen that, it's definitely me that's being dense.

Ummmmm .... I have no memory right now of what it was I heard that had me start that thread. :O:lol: .... but hopefully it'll come back to me before too long.

right, searched back thru mail, and found it .....

While there's a decent chance that the guy who told me about bono has good info, in this instance I've since had better sourced info that didn't include mention of bono. So I'm not sure what to think now - I'm less sure than I was that Bono might do a 'secret' show of some kind, but I guess it's not impossible.

Anyway ... to get back to your original question, will I be sharing rumours .... the answer is maybe, but maybe not. If I was to tweet "Bono is playing the Avalon cafe in one hour" then it's likely that it'd get over-run and wouldn't happen then for safety reasons. And if it turned out to be wrong anyway, then you wouldn't be pleased for having your time wasted.

one of those sites that must not be named ;) gave this rather generic advice on twitter...

Follow the tag #glasto. RT @alexcropper any tips on who to follow for info on the special guest Park slots and other events at Glasto this year?

I'll preface this with the fact that this information is NOT going to confirm one way or the other about the possibility of one of the guest slots being taken by Radiohead. But...

One of the kids in my class at school's mum works for the company that package and distribute all Radiohead stuff (her sister-in-law (I think!) runs it and has won a Grammy for her work on the "In Rainbows" deluxe edition) and so I spoke with her at home-time today and asked if Radiohead were "playing any gigs in fields in the coming weeks" to which I was told that they (the distribution company) were not aware of them doing anything at all. When I was more explicit about meaning at Glastonbury she said that "It's the sort of thing they like to do but [she wasn't] aware of anything being planned," although she did add that they may well not be told if something like that was happening. Equally, I know that they have always had tickets for every Radiohead show in the last 5 years and that this has included "secret" shows and one-off appearances. And they knew about last year well before it happened (and had tickets through Thom).

As I said, nothing conclusive but I thought I'd share the info.

    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
