When you find out where they are camping and know exactly which one is their tent, wait til the coast is clear and climb in. They'll get the shock of their life when they unzip their tent. They could be gone a while though and there's the danger of getting a punch in the face so on second thoughts.... I think the fancy dress idea is a good 'un. Just wear a mask.. go over really casually then unveil yourself

Could you not text em' about when you think they'd be heading to their first bar, find out just head there and get a round in and casually walk up like you been there the whole time?

Do a shit right in the middle of their camp and stick a little flag with your name on it. That'll proper freak them out.

Follow them and wait for them to settle somewhere and then get people to start shouting your name, they will be sure to look and then just casually walk through the people up to them, with a round of drinks!

Ok assuming that you'll know how to find them heres what I think you should do..

Basically I think you should be all dressed up (so you're not recogniseable) and go and casually sit with them. Sit in silence, maybe nod to the occasional thing they say and then randomly say "so am I gonna sit here all day or is one of you gonna offer me a beer(or cider )"

Sounds and looks good in my head. You may think different.

Either way, I dont think it should be a "omg surprise its me!" it should be kept very subtle and you should act like they knew all along and as if nothing was out of the ordinary. Maybe even try and convince them you'd already told them you were going. Just f**k with their heads. Have a bit of fun
