Bonfires

Hmm, 4/10 could do better, I prefer it when you're thinking of driving around Somerset pissed at 6am instead. Come on, you know you've got a couple of decent topics, or are you saving these for later?

Tents, drunk people and children are an accident waiting to happen too. We should just ban everything, ban breathing because it can cause people to choke if they don't do it right, or at least ban it until everybody's been sent on a vigorous training course that teaches them how to inhale and exhale safely and responsibly. Ban blinking because it can lead to the dislodging of eyelashes in such a way as to impair vision, ban walking around because it can cause you to fall over, ban being alive because it can cause death.

Banning bonfires may seem over zealous but have you seen a seriously burnt human, not nice. A friend of mine was once so drunk he could barely stand. In his stupor he relieved himself on a bonfire. He had so much alcohol in his system....whoooofffff, his piss caught fire. Several operations later his old chap sort of resembles a penis, but it's not great.

Yeah - ban fires, flags and while we are at it - drinking, dancing, singing and anything that makes the festival a fantastic place to be. In fact lets all stay at home and live an oxygen tent so we will all be safe !!

Chill out !!

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
