Ah boooo, Coldplay are boring, they sell records, they've sold out etc etc. Heard it all before.

Decent band, make commercially popular music, sell millions of records.

They started off good, they stayed good and they're still good now. Not sure where this 'selling out' stuff comes from as their music has not really changed in style.

What i will say about Coldplay is that they are a surprisingly good live band, and on that basis i'll probably be watching them.

If we need to talk about selling out then we probably need a discussion about that band that's on before Morrissey.

I like Coldplay and I've enjoyed all of their albums (even X+Y) but Chemical Brothers will be fantastic. And I probably wouldn't see them if they were headlining either of the other 2 nights either. Nothing against them, but the quality of the headliners down the stages is ridiculous.

I think they're quite nice young men, the type of guys who you'd take for lunch with your granny.

I imagine their Saturday night headline slot will also be quite nice, fairly forgettable, but nice like a warm sunday dinner.

I'll go see them because I like sunday dinner.

If anyone wants to download a free live album of Coldplay they're giving away one on their website. Well worth a listen for free.

Also, just been watching some of their live video's on youtube and this one made me laugh 2:55 onwards, unfortunately can't see him having the space to do that at glastonbury!

Love their music. Parachutes is my favourite alum of all time. Seen them a few times in the past few years and can't wait to see them at Glastonbury. Elbow followed by Coldplay is the highlight of the festival for me.

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
    • The Last Temptation - new Heaven 17 documentary film directed by James Strong. Premiered at Sheffield Docfest this weekend.    I really enjoyed it. Affectionate, insightful, and honest. A nice mix of archival and footage, interviews and clips from the last tour. Martyn and Glenn are like an old married couple.   Plus a snippet of news from the Q&A, Martyn is recording new BEF material, and Phil Oakey has collaborated on the one of tracks. The film shows them meeting in Fagans for the first time in over 35 years.
    • Glad I’ve still got it booked off for my 50th
