hmmm, i think actually being on site is more impressive... i remember last year walking along from the park towards the stone circle and looking across the site left me gobsmacked... i dont know if it will have the same impression this year because last year was my first year and first day haha...

Just overlayed it on where I was brought up which happens to be a dairy farm in the West of Scotland. Covers most of what is my brother's farm and the neighbouring village. Must try and persuade my brother to stage a festival. I reckon it would be a fantastic location - only 9 miles from Glasgow city centre with great transport links.

It's about the same size as my town but only 22,000 people stay here!

It feels soooo much bigger though, think it's down to the fact I drive about at home so getting the distance from the John Peel stage to Trash City takes me a few minutes where as at Glastonbury it takes ages and even longer in crowds or mud.

To my mind, that only tells half the story. OK, the Glasto "footprint" is large, and overlays a substantial part of my home town on that map. But if you compare the populations, then you'd be looking at a massively bigger area. Not sure what the total number of temporary residents is, but certainly greater than 200,000, which makes us pretty high up in this list.
