I 've done some research and it seems that there are a lot of options on how to charge your mobile phone, but i cant find one (reasonably priced ) solution on how to charge the battery of your camera

I will definitely need to charge my DSLR at least 2-3 times during the fest. What options do i have?

Buy a couple of spare batteries which you take with you fully charged?

At Green Man festival, in the lock-up tents they charged phones - they had some chargers there, but if you took your own charger they would use that (subject to spare sockets being available). Phones/chargers had to be booked in as any other luggage being left in the lock-ups.

To my knowledge they dont do that at Glastonbury, possibly because of the demand it would create, in terms of the numbers of people there and also the energy it would require?

Up in the Green Fields there are a fair few plugs offered for a small fee (£2 on average) and elsewhere on site especially in the market there are stalls that offer charging services (with a little locker) for up to £5. Charging batteries should not be an issue at the festival. Just dont use the Chill and Charge at any time as there are many other options dotted about site.

Or buy extra batteries!

You can pick up extra batteries on ebay for a few quid each and pre charge them.

Have done this for my camera, phone and OH's phone last couple of years and its a godsend when other members of our party have wasted time in the chill and charge just to get some power back in their phones

I dont think I have ever even stepped foot in the Chill and Charge in the 12 visits I have made to the festival.

Think the spare batteries route is the only one worth taking - already got x2 on order for my camera.

Is good that the charge facility is available, but feel like the extra £s spent on buying the spares is well worth it in comparison to spending time charging electronics!
