Hospitality Ticket

I sure have, twice through a company I used to work for:)

Great to get access between the main stages and the flushing loo's are a bonus. Other than this not much difference to standard tickets, only used the camping area once but found the banter to be far better in the non-hospitality camping areas!

Enjoy

Myself and the wife are meant to be getting hospitality tickets this year, however we have no idea when we will actually receive the tickets in our hands. Does anyone know if these are produced/dispatched at the the same time as normal tickets...how long before festival we shud excepect to be able to receive them? We are a bit apprehensive about how it all works and the procedure behind them.....any information would be much appreciated.

Two top tips for using a hospitality ticket.

- Don't camp in the hospitality area, it's soulless and pretentious

- Don't hang out in the interstage hospitality area, same reason as above.

Basically, the only benefits of it are the cut through between the two main stages, and, erm, it's free.

I can imagine hanging around the 'hospitality' will basically mean you miss what glastonbury is all about.

I managed to get backstage/stage right at the avalon stage for steve harleys set with another member of our group;

plus's

great view of the rear of the band,

pay bar behind stage which had one or two people in, could watch the footy on a flat screen tv in situ there, good loos

Watch band warming up, and their obvious delight as they left the stage

(see my video here)

minus's

you feel you shouldn't be there

you could feel your missing out on loads of other things

ps 'hospitality' doesn't allow stage access to the pyramid - only the area in between other and pyramid

If you can get hospitality tickets, just go for it and see what you think. I have camped in there 5 times recently and there many benefits. Try a search for hospitality and see what threads come up. Bye the way it's not backstage as such.

The tickets I used to get are usually dished out about mid May.

Thanks for that Glasto-worker....we're just unsure about when/how we are going to receive tickets/letter/confirmation...as obviously it's getting closer and closer! Hopefully all will be fine....also the camping area sounds good as we'll have our 4 year boy with us too
