Tickets for sale

hi there,

i bought two tickets for reading 2011 right after reading 2010 weekend.

the lineup for this year just isn't for me.

i'm guessing a refund from seetickets isn't an option.

ebay is an option but i'm not sure who would buy from ebay when seetickets still have them in stock.

what would you recommend i do to get my money back?

(obviously if anyone wants to buy them just let me know)

cheers,

stu

There's absolutely no way you can guarantee getting your money back. My recommendation would be GetMeIn and undercut the lowest priced tickets there, accepting a loss of around £50. It's worth bearing in mind that you won't get the money until September, but it's less risky than putting them on ebay where you might get sweet fa back.

Piece of advice: sell them sooner rather than later. By the time we get to August, you'll be lucky to get anywhere near what you paid for them. Seeing as you got them at last year's price I doubt you'll lose too much selling them now.

You're probably better of holding onto them for now. If the festival ends up selling out, then you will be able to shift them no problem nearer the time.

Can't see anyone wanting to buy a ticket second hand when tickets are available for much less than face value.

But if it doesn't look like it will sell out within the next couple of months, then best try to get as much for them soon as.

I have a question about this. I am a ebay/seetickets "noob" and I could use some guidance.

I bought my 2011 ticket in the early bird sale but am now unable to go. Also, I am an international customer so I was arranging to pick the ticket up at the venue with seetickets.

I am fully aware I will have to take a loss etc. but I am wondering how do I actually sell the ticket that I don't have in my possession. Is there an option to sell on seetickets, or can I switch the address to where the ticket is being sent when I sell it?

Help will be greatly appreciated.

in short, yes.

in long, you may have to pay some kind of surcharge, i don't know. but i know that you will be able to sell it.

may i suggest www.getmein.com - it's run by ticketmaster and it's not an auction - you put the ticket on there for your chosen price and you wait until somebody buys it. it's less hassle!

"The only problem will be that the tickets will be delivered to their address but in your name, so if they aren't in and have to go and collect from the sorting office they won't have any ID."

If it's anything like last year they'll just stick it through the letter box without even ringing the doorbell! - that's what happened to us so that's not guarentee for everyone else!
