If we're talking about going down in history then Radiohead made a record that completely transformed the use of electronics in music and was frequently voted the album of the decade in Kid A and then made a huge step in redefining how music was distributed with In Rainbows. I quite like Oasis but have they ever done anything revolutionary or important? Not even close in my opinion.

I think history will judge Oasis more like the Rolling Stones or The Who, with a couple of good early albums and huge success but not much else of note whereas Radiohead will be seen far more like The Beatles and Bob Dylan who genuinely revolutionised music and will have a far more lasting influence. Radiohead are still in full swing creatively (IMO obvs) whereas Oasis' career seems pretty much over already.

This had been mentioned before, but they played at Coachella 2006 a performance that the band intended to make a DVD of, however fans in the crowd put together their own video from various view points. Daft Punk saw this and thought an "official" DVD could not beat it particularly in gaining the atmosphere of the gig. I unfortunately was not there :(

Here is a link to said recording:

The album Alive 2007 is of a similar performance which was recorded live in Paris I believe.

Should they play the Pyramid, it would be rammed.

I've not fallen out my good man, i just like arguing about Oasis. They do it for me, if you know what i mean. I would fight to the death rather than have a bad word said about them, but i'm sure we both have better things to do. I bid you farewell. For now...

I was there and the only reason I even made it inside the tent is because I ducked out of Depeche Mode early. Wasn't feeling their set at all. Sadly it meant missing most of the hits, which were all at the end. Go figure. But being there for Daft Punk...yeah, worth it.

I blacked out during "One More Time" and had to get out of there and get water and fresh air and food, and the crowd stretched way beyond the tent on all sides.
