Drugs

After last years heat, I would strongly advise keeping any powdered substance in a cool, dry place. Melted cocaine (of dubious quality or not) is not a good thing to attempt to do.

My mate found this out the hard way, by splitting a bag and licking the entire contents on the sat night. Fast forward to Sunday morning and he wasn't a pretty sight. He missed the whole day.

Things have changed (for better or worse depending on your outlook) from the heady days of the 90's early 2000 when everything was available at the door of your tent.

I will be sticking with the cider in 2011

I'm not gonna dwell on the subject because I've avoided it till now,

But last year was our first and whilst queuing/coming in from our campervan field some young lad had just been caught with tins of lager modified to fit some kind of drugs, he was on the phone to his mum saying you'll have to come back and get me, I'm not allowed in Blah Blah Blah.....Tears crying Gutted, yes, worth it ....Nah, and as mean as it sounds for one split second my wife and i thought poor bastard......then honestly thought.......you f**king idiot!!!!

We had a unforgettable drug free glasto, and we are going to again this year, B) Rain or shine :D

Considering I look like a 12 year old, I got offered drugs a couple of times last year, but that was in Shangri La and the dance areas. Usually I don't see anyone selling, but then I don't exactly look for them in the first place.

Seriously, who needs drugs when you can legally consume Brothers pear cider....??!!

Drug use is fairly open, but no worse than anywhere else....apart from the dance village. Just walk through on a Sunday morning to view the carnage  Seems to have been a clampdown on the dealers in the past couple of years - only got 1 approach last year, compared to about 20 in 2004 (I must look 'in need' despite the cider).

I've noticed a massive drop in "dealers" in and around Glastonbury and other festivals since I started going to them at the end of the 1990s.

I would say though, I usually have my own stash of goods so don't really go around looking for it...some mates of mine bought some acid in 2009 at the stone circle on the friday night, after tripping their nuts off and then sleeping it off they eventually came back round to the land of the living sunday morning

Got ripped off for some dud pills twice that year too

Although twice in 2008 managed to get some really strong MDMA, once by the jazz bar on the thursday...was chatting to some lads and said we didn't have much on us for the weekend...one of htem pulled out a set of scales and a carrier bag of MDMA and said "how much do you want?"

Same year after Jay Z was up in the stone circle with two other mates and said "bollocks we left the mandy at the tents" and this girl leant down and said "you need any?" she was german and her boyfriend had a rucksack full of the stuff in 1gram wraps....must have been over 100 in there...

As said depends what areas you tend to visit, at what time etc. Must say I don't usually notice too much going on during the day apart from the odd spliff.

Arcadia was mental for people chewing their faces off last year though!! :P
