resales - my best guess

as there's been sneaky unannounced resales after the previous october ticket day(s?), I suspect that similar will happen sometime either this week or next week.

eFestivals has a system set up to monitor for this, and if the ticket page goes live again we should be able to let yo0u know within a minute of it happening.

Cheers for this, I'll keep an eye out and get my friends on the case. Still reeling over yesterday, can't believe after all the prep that we put in that none of us got sorted. Still feel sick to the stomach at the thought of not being there next year.

Badlands. Sorry to hear you weren't successful. Neither was I. I was after 2 tickets, for myself, returning after 16 or so years and my son who's first Glastonbury this was supposed to be. We were far too trusting and didn't refresh the 'You are in a queue' screen, worried that we would lose that feeble hope.

Like you I am now gunning for resale opportunities to buy our 2 tickets.

Good luck to all those who did get tickets, but we had a very lonely 4 hours on the phone and internet yesterday, and would have been happy to see 1 booking screen, let alone the multiple screens that others have reported!

How will we find out when tickets are going on resale? Do we have to register an interest or anything?

Going to keep my fingers crossed for these - Mrs Felna needs to put her summer leave in by January each year, so the April/May resale is way too short a notice for us to sort something. It's too risky to book it in on the off-chance as we wouldn't be able to move it if it didn't pan out.

Put this on another message thread, but repeating it here in case it may help:

Last year tickets dribbled through on SeeTickets on the weeks after Ticket Day (apparently).

I assume it was because payments failed etc, but I heard (from these forums) of people getting tickets before the official re-sale.

An idea could be to try this.

Install Firefox as your browser, then install the Check4Change add-on.

Then keep the See Tickets http://www2.seetickets.com/g2011/? page open very day, highlight a word that is likely to change if tickets come available. Then set Check4change to check that word every 15 seconds with audible warning if a change occurs.

Worth a shot......

Also what's the efesivals notification as mentioned in the first post

we're keeping an eye constantly on the page. If it changes we'll post it here.

We might not be the first to post it - after all, it depends on when it's checked by any person, and when the page has changed. But the post will be on here within a minute [tho if someone has posted first we might not duplicate the fact] of the page-change.

PS: I'll be EXREMELY surprised if there's an unannounced resale before first thing Wednesday. So no need to go mad thinking it might happen today - I'm 99.9999999999% sure it won't.

Is there anyway of getting SMS notifications as well? I would be prepared to pay.

Niblet ran a service that did that last year, but Glastonbury Festival had issues about it (and cancelled his ticket at one point :O) because it was someone taking money but using their business name to do so.

While I feel that Glasto's response to what Niblet did was slightly over-the-top, at the end of the day it is their business and they're entitled to protect it.

And so anyone offering a similar service is likely to get the same response from Glasto and get shut down - meaning that anything you pay for such a service might not deliver and you'll perhaps lose your money (I think Niblet refunded, but the next person might not).
