I normally have other folk dotted around who I know, but currently on my own 'camping'.

i did it solo last year and really thought it was a great way to do it.... after going to the efests meet i got talking to peeps and from then on i was never truly on my own as i knew people out and about and kept meeting up with them throughout the weekend

I did it solo in '09 and it was great, I got the train down and met a load of people there, ended up having a cracking year and I still keep in touch with most of them.

I did solo last year.....and was my first ever festival! made many new friends and will be meeting up with most of them again in 2011.

I went on my own in '07 and '08. Had a great time! It probably is nicer on reflection to have someone else to share your tent with at night time, but didn't effect my enjoyment of the rest of the experience at all. Actually it was very liberating!

I did it solo this year, although, like Runner, I knew people dotted here and there, and met up with them on occassion. I also made friends with the people I was camping near.

eFestivals have an informal camp, called , up in Pennards, where lots of solos camped this year. I tried to get in there but arrived too late on the Wednesday to get space in Pennards.

2011 will be my first year solo after 2008 with my brother and 2009/2010 with a mate who can't make it next year. I remember reading lots of previous "solo" posts and i think the key messages are to be positive, to talk to people and to smile!!

I always feel sad when I see people on their own, I'll always inflict my conversation on them to see if they're okay but they probably just think I'm a mong.

But yeah, our camp will always welcome loners so if anyone isn't confident about going alone, give us a bell. We've adopted people at Leeds fest before.. bit early to be making plans but whatever.
