Well there's something like 300 festivals in the UK over the summer...

Rockness is good and has a lovely view.

Both Bestivals are fun (although I prefer Camp Bestival more).

T in the Park is mental and brilliant and not bad at all if you can hack the campsite.

Beautiful Days is a lovely mini Glastonbury in Devon.

Bearded Theory is a brilliant small festy in Derbyshire.

WOMAD is supposed to be very good indeed.

Latitude despite the problems this year is worth a visit.

Guilfest, pretty bloomin decent.

Glastonbury, whilst being the biggest and best is NOT the be all and end all in festivals.

These forums are here for a purpose...go and have a shifty at all the various forums and get an idea of what you might like to go to. You are merely constrained by time, money and distance.

A lot of the Scottish festivals are well worth heading to by the way.

I'm organizing my flight tickets for Glasto despite not getting any tickets and just hoping for luck in the resale.

I'm guessing none of these festivals coincide with Glasto do they?

In the event that I run out of luck for the resale...any idea where to go?

End of the Road is the sensible choice.

It is my 1st choice. Glasto is my 2nd, but as I missed out today I now need a 3rd.

Beautiful Days and Green Man are both tempting. I doubt I will ever go to any other big festivals in this country other than Glastonbury. Reading/Leeds/V etc all sound far too commercial (and not enough real ale) for my liking.

Where is Roskilde, and what sort if size/lineup? Sounds interesting.

Anyway, too anyone who didn't get a ticket today, good luck in the re-sale, but if you don't get a ticket I hope you find a nice, interesting alternative.

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
