The Met Office (www.metoffice.gov.uk) don't do specific forecasts more than 5 days in advance.

That's currently saying sunny Wednesday daytime, but then heavy rain Wednesday night and Thursday day, but easing off going in to Thursday night.

Their long range forecast says:

It is likely to be an unsettled and windy start to the Bank Holiday weekend with heavy showers and coastal gales affecting much of the United Kingdom during Friday. Some mixed weather is likely over the rest of the weekend with further showers, but also sunny spells. Southern England may become humid for a time with risk of heavy rain or showers, but with many northern and western areas staying cooler.

For Reading -

Wednesday looks fine for the early entry peeps

Thursday looks very unsettled with some heavy showers

Friday & Saturday both look to be dry and sunny

Sunday 60% chance of rain

Also saw the countryfile weather this evening & what I just mentioned above upto Friday was in agreement with the bbc weather guy altho he did say that the end of week was hard to predict

well at the moment the Polar front (aka the jet stream) is over us. there fore were subject to mid atlatic depressions. the weather will go from a bit wet and overcast to hot to crap. depeding on when the depression hits us and how big it is. so hopefully will get the hot bit over the weekend, but ir econ we might have to pack our shit up in the rain.

or if were really lucky the polar front will move north and will be under the influence of hot mediteranian air, like we were for glastonbury.

I'm not bothering to look at the weather reports again, i checked teletext yesterday and again today and it was a completely different forecast....

My advice is to pack a complete set of waterproofs (wellies, jacket and trousers) cos every time i've gone prepared it's always been nice weather and i've not had to use them hardly at all!

    • Was volunteering at the Women’s Cricket World Cup at Southampton yesterday. Was great fun.
    • Definitely see this as being 'weak' on paper but could see a few bumps up from previous sets at Download (Don Broco, Neck Deep etc).
    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
