luckily enough for us GCSE'ers they changed the day to a tuesday this year so the results come out on tuesday 24th August, with me going to Leeds on the Thursday 26th haha. so it works out just perfect ;)

I can't wait to:

set up camp after the Walk of Death with my last cold lager of the weekend

figure out how to start a 'BOLLOCKS' chant successfully

buy a suit from Oxfam at 3am

get carried away from strangers to be given beer bongs

be amazed by Arcade Fire

sit round a campfire with my friends talking about all the bands we've each seen that day

regressing whilst watching Blink 182

remember why I love Leeds festival so much

forgot there's a real world outside

have an incredible weekend

:)

I can't wait to finally walk through the gates and get my wristband on. f**k the driving and queueing up.

pop up my tent and chill out with a few beers

pretty much the whole Saturday main stage

chill out with mates and not give a shit about "real life"

Munch a hog roast roll

See Mumford an sons

Come back on here on the Tuesday after i sobered up an hear all the people who slagged Arcade Fire say how theyve always been a fan of them from the beguinning an how they were the best act of the entire weekend !

Can't wait for it now

sneaking a few beers past security - very proud moment, got a personal record of 5 tins and two jäger Capri sun pouches to beat

watching young guns kick off the weekend and soak up atmosphere

machines with the biffy

pretend I'm a huge stoner whilst watching cypress hill

watch carl and pete make musical love to the stage

miss two days of f**kin work!

Crack open the first beer on Wednesday night after pitching my tent.

Realise I'm older than the GCSE Lads and recall the good old days of yonder.

Actually see Weezer, Live, for the first time ever.

Attempt to get NoFX to actually sing "Bob", after they copped out five years ago.

Love Gogol Bordello once again.

Sing my Heart out to all the GnR classics.

Watch Frank Turner and Gaslight anthem in one day.

Punk out in the Concrete Jungle

Listen in wonder to "Wake Up"

Have a Campfire and Talk for hours with my mates about the stuff we had witnessed that day.

First BBQ of the weekend.

Feel, not smell, the existence of the long drops, from over 400 meters away.

The first Bollacks 'wave' across the campsites.

Mosh to Limp Bizkit with my red hat like It's 2001.

Spend at least 5 mins performing 'the Robot' in the silent disco.

Catch some of Ash, and remember how big a band they used to be.

Become 'slightly lightheaded' standing around in the crowd for Cypruss Hill.

Saving at least 25 people in a "crush"

Be absolutely, Unbelievably bladdered at 11:30 Am.

Wonder why the Asian Dub Foundation, The Subways and Bloc Party aren't there.

See the jaw-droppingly beautiful frontwoman of Paramore, and her equally stunning lookalikes.

Jump around to Blink-182, and reminisce.

Generally have the Best Weekend with my Friends, Like minded people and Music fans possible.

    • Used had one of the biggest crowds in the Wave last year. Not really my thing but enjoyed it and the crowd were bang up for it. Might be too much of a step up on the Main though.
    • Thing is it depends on what the issues are - building a bigger stage would likely bring the Pyramid up to the relatively standard 20x20 space for "on stage" production which does make it easier for touring setups. But if for example she wants big / complex extensions going out in the field (such as she had in Rio) that would remain just as awkward to achieve without massively disrupting the rest of the day or potentially even weekend.
    • A month or so before any ballot a group of up to six is registered and a lead booker named.  That gives see tickets time to check if any individual’s registration, post code  and details appears more than once on different groups and removed then on ticket allocation day tickets the groups are just randomly balloted.  It’s felt like a ballot in the last few years, just sitting staring at the dreaded two lines, glancing nervously at the clock as time passes. Maybe the f5 refresh gave you the sense that you were actually doing something 😊
    • or can we just have Metallica back please 😄
    • Feel Stevie Wonder should be in the conversation as a random Michael Eavis headliner ala Neil Young last year.... If we did get a M.E pick for one of the headliner slots, who else would be in the mix do we think? Cher? Rolling Stones? Nicks/Fleetwood?
