Guilfest Questions

Hello All,

I have many festivals under the belt, but 1st time at Guilfest this year, so have a couple of questions

1. The schlepp, will be arriving early Friday to pitch up. What is the schlepp from the car park to my likely camping spot like?. Answers in minutes walk would be nice if possible...They other half won't be arriving until late Friday so will be doing the lugging solo.

2. Do they allow SLR camera's and if so are there Property Lock-ups?

3. How much is the Lido to get into, would love to have a swim while I am there..rain or shine

4. How's the site for drainage, a bit of rain predicted over the next couple of days..does it normally hold up quite well?

Looking forward to it muchly, thanks in advance for any info..

1. less than 5 minutes.

2. Not sure if they allow cameras, but think they do. However, there's no lock-ups .... and the numpty called me left my camera in my tent last year, and for the first time in 25+ years festie going had something (the camera) nicked at a fest.

3. not sure.

4. the site holds up in the wet extremely well - it's very unlikely that you'd need wellies even in the most atrocious weather, so for this year I doubt anything more than trainers would be needed. However, there may be a few avoidable sticky spots, so you might want some better footwear, just in case.
