Think you should still take the wellies, if you have my luck, what you take, you won't need. Travelling down on the coach, so I'll have to wear them on route! Also taking some Converse pumps in the rucksack to change into upon arrival. They can be worn with ot without socks and don't take up much space when packed.

Crocs shoes with side vents  I just find them comfy

Jungle boots (part canvas, good grip sole unlike converse styles). As they are not waterproof (but let the water out), Sealskinz waterproof socks for if the falling down stuff is expected.

wellies for the mud if it gets bad (and to appease the rain spirits).

I usually stick to a good pair of walking boots, plus a pair of wellies for just in case. This time though I am also taking a pair of walking sandles in case the weather stays hot and sunny - they have lots of velcro straps and really are sturdy for walking on on hard ground... B)

Just to add, whilst we are all concerned about footwear think of your feet as well.

Keeping the heals and toes in tip top condition is one of the most important things to do.

I always take cracked heal cream (any lotion will do) to keep the feet nice and hydrated and smooth as a babys bum.

Clean between your tootsies each morning or last thing with baby wipes, (I use huggies) prevents nasty bugs starting to build up and feels great.

Clip those toe nails today but not to short.

If your wearing socks, change them each day.

Your feet are what get you about and a few mins of TLC each day ensures they will last all weekend...

Thanks is all.

1 Pair cons = day wear

1 Pair steelies = night/wet wear (as if!)

I find that 1 pair of cons will last a whole festival, be virtually in pieces by the end and serve me well. Comfort, breathable, not stupidly sweaty and it feels like you are walking barefoot. Nice.

Pair of wellies (to remain unused), pair of birkenstocks for bimbling, pair of walking boots for those times I know we'll be in the midst of things watching a band! I don't own anything as comfortable as my birkenstocks so no doubt my feet will end up that manky i'll be washing them every morning the collapsible washing up bowl!

Sorted!

    • Definitely see this as being 'weak' on paper but could see a few bumps up from previous sets at Download (Don Broco, Neck Deep etc).
    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.

    • Jesse Malin was just fantastic at Union Chapel tonight.   now.. back to Le Mans...
    • I don't think I'm alone as a Scotland fan that there is no way that I could possibly fall asleep knowing we're about to play our first World Cup game in 28 years! Pure adrenaline is keeping me wide awake (and plenty of rum)!
