what's the point. we qualify with a 4-6-0. then meet italy, bulgaria and serbia in the groups for instance. are we suddenly going to attack just cos we're there? it's dire! and there's been 1 positive move in 45 which only came to something cos of a numpty defender.

How can Levein slag off Billy Reid's tactics of getting bodies behind the ball and putting hard tackles in if all he's got Scotland to do is sit behind the ball and hack the Czechs if they get too close to our box?!! At least Accies attacked throughout those games, played with a striker and actually scored!!

The real question is, how did the Czechs survive the last 20 minutes of constant quality Scottish attacks which happened as a direct result of the change in formation?

We have scored 3 goals in the last 6 games, all with strikers. We can't attack, with or without strikers.

I know we don't score many but at least we create quite a few chances. But how are we supposed to score if we're not even creating half the chances we would have if we had someone up front who could hold the ball up?

Levein proved last night why he shouldn't have been given the job. 4-6-0 was an utter embarrassment. Part of Scottish football died last night.

It would be pretty impossible to relegate them to the 3rd at this stage in the season, the fixture chaose it would cause would be too unworkable.

But I reckon they should be given a hefty points deduction, therefore meaning they drop to the 2nd for next season.

Certainly the authorities need consistency though when these things occur, too much differential treatment happening, and am sure it won't be the last time this happens to a club over the next couple of seasons.

nah i'm not asking for them to be relegated to the 3rd, that was big enough a farce in itself (even though admittedly, it has been quite good for us). just how can you deduct gretna 10 points, relegate livi 2 divisions and then do nothing to dundee? it's a farce. and as you say, it is guaranteed to happen again to one team or another.

oh and i won the signed, framed livi top last night. for £35. £2 cheaper than a livi top on it's own. result! shame i can only recognise about 3 signatures on it...

Ah yeah. Well then the same punishment should stand of getting punted down to the 3rd division...or they should deiide that doing that is not beneficial and do it to nobody. They need to make a set rule.

I'd expect them to get some deduction in points. BBC are still suggesting this may happen.

just seen a very good point on the livi forums

First thing the SFL did was demand the £750k bond to fulfil our fixtures.

That works out at £20,833.33 a game for a 36 match campaign, given that Dundee have played 8 matches, I think they should be expected to front a bond of £583,333.33 to "ensure the integrity of the competition".

If Dundee are not treated in the same way as Livingston, then our board should be asking serious questions of the league and looking for recompense.

If it's true, I'm sure that with the positions he's had elsewhere in much bigger clubs we could be set to capitalise on decent loan signings and cheap transfers in the transfer window - we certainly need some strength elsewhere.
