Going to fling this one out there, I know the guy is a tit but he has written some great tunes, was excellent live when I saw him and has been off the rader for a while.

UNKLE would be great for Rockness, and possibly a Lavelle set played in the final slot on sunday in the afterburner. Shadow would be amazing aswell.

Going to see DJ Shadow next week actually, can't wait will be my first time seeing him live.

More likely just get Jonsi next year I reckon he will be touring his solo stuff for a bit and defo mroe fests next year.

Sigur would be amazing though & 08 was the last time they played in Scotland I believe so you never know.

along the same lines, mogwai would be very welcome as well.

Not been to Rockness yet, but would be tempted by say..

Main Stage:

Beastie Boys

one of - Faithless (storming at T this year)/Daft Punk/Chemical Bros (T will try for one of them atleast imo, that or both if Pixies is 'too outlandish')

Pixies

Clash:

Mogwai

Primal Scream

Justice

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
    • The Last Temptation - new Heaven 17 documentary film directed by James Strong. Premiered at Sheffield Docfest this weekend.    I really enjoyed it. Affectionate, insightful, and honest. A nice mix of archival and footage, interviews and clips from the last tour. Martyn and Glenn are like an old married couple.   Plus a snippet of news from the Q&A, Martyn is recording new BEF material, and Phil Oakey has collaborated on the one of tracks. The film shows them meeting in Fagans for the first time in over 35 years.
    • Glad I’ve still got it booked off for my 50th
