Battery fairy lights

Guest Funkyfairy!

Recommended Posts

Bought some from ebay last year.. Brill.

Extended the wiring so we had lights right up the 5m flagpole by the tent

(could see it from a long way off).

Used blue fairy lights for the indoor lighting.

Modifying it a bit more this year to use a Miners Caplamp battery to hopefully last the whole week.

:D:D

I've got battery powered in white, blue, pink, multicoloured, led lights....butterfly, dragonfly, stars ....as well as white & blue in solar but find these are nowhere near as bright as the battery powered ones.

Steer clear of the poundland parasol fairy lights as I bought 4 sets each of which lasted one night at a festie last year.

Lights4fun are good quality but i've found those i've bopught from B&M stores as good as the more expensive ones :)

BTW...B&M have butane staoves for £7.99 just now!

I've bought some solar powered 1's to light up our pram in the dark...£9.99 from Maplins.

Anyone got any tips on where to put the solar panel so it charges up...I can see it being slightly annoying if its swinging from the pram!

Got some from eBay last year and solar power ones from eBay this year but they cmae from china so probably wouldn't get to you in time (approx three weeks!) but I saw some in tosco last week and sainsburys the week before so might be worth checking them?

Or preorder some from a b&q here and get them when you get onto the mainland?

We got some decent solar powered ones off ebay for only about £9 - bargain!

Going to wind them round our flag pole at the tent & secure them with cable ties. If anyone sees an illuminated cauliflower in Hitchins, feel free to pop over & say hello! :D

Has anyone got any battery operated fairy lights, and if so where did you get em from? I want to give our awning some girliness :P

Tried B&Q last night but despite having '8 boxes in stock' they couldn;t find em - and no more B&Q's on the island .....

Any ideas anyone?

Cheers

Ours are from Ikea at £1.99 and have lasted years. We did buy them at Christmas though - so no idea if they'll have them in stock now. Ordinary battery ones though and the batteries don't last the whole festival.

    • As first timers last year the whole set-up blew our mind with the fire on the Sunday, it seemed you could get too close and I didn’t like dodging falling embers!
    • I'd be absolutely amazed if they went without a female headliner.

    • Kinda sounds like we’re heading towards Fender, Fontaines & Harry however I can’t see them not getting a female headliner so think it’ll be Fender or Fontaines and another. They’ll obviously try for Madonna but they’ve also tried before, really depends on whether she’s bothered about it.
